Masaki’s USDM Inspired Nissan S13

After KDAY C4 show, we pulled Masaki’s S13 to the side and did a little photo shoot to get some more detailed shots of his car.

We met Masaki in the States back in 2012 when he came to visit. It’s great that we can finally see his car that we’ve been drooling over online for so many years.

These Autostrada Modena were rebuilt in the United States by SteebSpecd. That’s some serious dedication by Masaki to make it an authentic USDM style wheel.

Masaki kept the lines on his car clean as possible converting his car from the pig nose front end to the Silvia front end.

Masaki has owned this car for 10+ years and has kept it extremely clean, also even painting the car himself.

He’s even rocking a California license plate!

Keeping it simple is always best.

Crazy how he drove this low for four hours to get to this show.

Lowballers Japan Stomping Grounds

The next morning we woke up in Toyoma, Kazuki’s home to be exact. Kazuki planned to take us to Super Autobacs and have us try the freshest fish in Japan. I was pretty excited just to eat..

They showed us a garage that they all share. This is where they mostly work on their cars.

Visiting Lowballers JP

During our Japan trip we had planned to meet up the Lowballers of Japan in their home town of Toyoma. It was about a 4-6 hour train ride from Kobe to Toyoma, but we had to reunite with our Japanese lovers. Kazuki had arranged a caravan to pick us up to go to a car meet as soon as we got off the train. It was interesting to be in this part of Japan, it was more mellow and reminded me of home.

Long smooth highways, sucks that you have to pay to drive on the highways in Japan. It’s probably why it’s so well kept.

The crowd, it felt like we were at one of our own meets. Friends just hanging out, enjoying each other’s company and their cars. This kind of connection spreads cross culture.

Cruising With The Meat

A couple of weeks ago; our friends from Lowballers Japan paid California a visit. It was great to show them around and give them a taste of our daily Hoodrat American shenanigans. The night before they were to fly back home to the land of the rising sun we did our best to organize a meet to end their trip to California with an awesome memory. Blasted on mediums of social media the meet had an awesome turnout. Cars from all over showed up and the parking lots went bonkers. What started as a meet turn into a cruise. Explanation to follow…

The planned location was at the Best Buy parking lot at the Tustin Marketplace on the border of Irvine and Tustin. Although it was “scheduled” to start at 9PM, I showed up to the parking lot at 8:30 to find rows of cars already lined up and people already mingling. Cars continued to fill the lot and the parking lot got filled quick. Around 9:15 Tustin PD showed up and kicked us out. I guess there was just too many awesome cars for them to handle. Word spread quick that the next spot to meet was the Petsmart parking lot at The District down the street.

I’m not a fan of the trending crazy-sporty-VIP style, but i love the attention to detail that people put into these builds

Word had traveled quick as everyone was forced to leave the Tustin Marketplace. The next spot was the Petsmart parking lot at The District. Like a scene from The Fast and The Furious almost everyone rolled up and bombed down Jamboree. Oil pans scraped and cars screamed at wide open throttle to the next spot. Once everyone had reconvened at the second location, people continued to hang out but eventually Tustin PD showed up once again and escorted us all out. On to spot number 3.

Wrong Fitment Crew Fest

Whenever Wrong Fitment Crew throws a meet, you should already know that Royal Origin will be there to support it. We’ve had an impeccable record of attending each meet that Wrong Fitment Crew has created since 2010. This year they held their car meet at SAE Motorsports in Oceanside, where the weather was about 10 degrees cooler and the roads didn’t suck. Once you pass Oceanside to San Diego the roads go from smooth to complete shit.

We created a caravan off the freeway in Irvine and a couple of friends joined us. One of the friends was Derek driving his super slammed RX-8.
