Extreme Dimensions Car Show 2016| Event Coverage

The annual Extreme Dimensions Car Show was a couple of weeks ago and the turn out was amazing. There were cars from all walks of life and they had some crazy events that were going on during the show, but we’ll get into that in a bit. These two yellow FRS caught my eye from a far.

So much gloss in the paint. Glad to be seeing more modified R32s in SoCal.

DNA Motoring’s S2000 for show.

A front end collision would suck for this Subaru. Wide body Mustang, so it could hit more people in crowds. That color tho. The Subie presence was strong at this meet.

Damn!! Satin black with gold accents on this S2000 looks amazing.

Low is an understatement.From satin black to all the colors of the rainbow. Perfect photo opportunity for this skyline syndicate. They were having a revving contest where the audience choose the winner. The one time revving your car at a meet was cool. The “Fuck Likes” sticker on this clean GS. Another 2nd gen IS with a 3rd gen bumper with excellent fitment. Neck breaker. Old school Mazda rolling out. Bagged and boosted S2000.

Best LS right now in Orange County and it’s owned by Tommy from Infinite Werks.

God, I love seeing a immaculate Civic.

After a long day at the show, a musubi from Musubi Monster ended the day.

The KOF Returns | Event Coverage

The King of Fitment returns, meaning cigar smokes at car meets are back and business for Vietnamese coffee shops should be going up. Charles who use to hang out with us regularly is now working in Amsterdam and since the car culture over in Amsterdam isn’t that big, he decided to throw a meet at Central Pine. The car meet brought out all of the homies from the 626 to 714 and we all came out to see Charles and inhale some second hand smoke.

Southern Worthersee Part Four | Throw Back

Throwing it back to one of the most memorable events/trips to enjoy different automotive culture than what I am used to in Southern California. Also, took me awhile to edit through the pictures as I rarely do take pictures, however, I recently picked up a Sony A7II with the kit lens, and it has motivated me to shoot more pictures as well as video of course.

DAY ONE: We arrived in Helen, Georgia very early in the morning, and already got greeted by familiar faces, and a lot of different quality ones.

A lost SoCal tribesmen came to greet us as well.

Through my network over at Mazda Fitment, I recognized Nate’s Miata parked in a random parking lot. Definitely as lovely in person as on the internet.

The new finish on the OZ Turbos was a nice touch to the new vinyl wrap theme.

On this trip, I told Ryo he had to come out to an East Coast event before he went back to Japan. Definitely glad he took my word for it, cause he was blown away. Ryo you will be missed!

This VW stood out amongst the rest. Liked it a lot.

Alex Goldstein’s E92 M3 On BBS RS2 wheels. Got the pleasure of shooting this car, which you can see later on in this post.

Another Mazda that I recognize through my network at Mazda Fitment. Also, got to meet the owner, was pretty cool.

Absolute love the direction Chris has had with this car of recent. Always well done through nearly all the stages of this car.

The south has some amazingly smooth roads and awesome twists. Really wanted a proper car to take it on a nice spirited drive here.

DAY TWO: We stayed at Chris’s cabin about a few miles out of Helen, and came back the next day to continue exploring Helen.

Got to enjoy another East Coast trip with Ryan and his WRX. This time around the car has changed quite a lot since then.

DAY THREE: On the last day in Helen we were back in town seeing what was left. Still a good number of cars and quality stuff laying around. This Miata was on point with the BBS RFs.

And back home to SoCal we went. Definitely loved this trip and event. The vibe and feel is different than H2Oi, and is definitely an experience I will continue to try to repeat.

OMWTFYB | Enjoy Sin

It was finally here, the weekend of the Enjoy Sin car meet with HNRS. We’ve been counting the days, minutes and seconds to finally spend some good quality time with friends and family. One of my favorite things to take photos of during this event is the caravan to Vegas, it’s just such a thrill to see a bunch of modified cars cruising together on the freeway. This post will be mostly rolling shots of the caravan.

The biggest surprise on the trip was Adam taking his S13. Glad to see it made the trip without any problems.

Marq was hesitant about taking his 7 series to Vegas because of some transmission problems, but he ended up making it there with no problems and he only used half a tank to get from Cali to Vegas. Quite impressive for a big body BMW.

Ryan Gold’s bright ass EVO was fun to shoot for rolling shots. Ryan made the trek with us all the way from Santa Barbara.

This year we had faster cars in this caravan, but we paced it pretty well so Vu and I could get some good rolling shots of the caravan. Thanks Ashton for not going 0 to 130 real quick.

Jeff’s WRX was my camera car and he did a great job catching up to everyone and pacing the car so I could get the best shots.

Robros Customs let Vinh drive the STI to the meet. The wrap looked great in the sun.

Derek pulled an all nighter to get his car ready for this trip. He spent the whole night wrapping his front end just to look decent for the meet.

Kevin’s S2000 was looking great now that it looks pretty much complete with his hardtop.

One of the lowest cars in the caravan was boss man, Jimmy’s Civic. He was literally scraping his diffuser all the way to Vegas.

Jimmy did a public service and picked up all the trash on the freeway.

We finally made it to our first destination, the M Resort where they have a good deal for lunch at the Studio B buffet. It’s been a tradition that we hit this buffet first before doing anything else in Vegas.

After the buffet, we went to check in at the house we rented. The driveway was so large that it could have fit all of our cars, too bad some of us couldn’t make it up the driveway.

Neel is now a Vegas local and met up with us as soon as we arrived.

99 Problems

Vinh’s garage is where most of our cars have been worked on or fixed and usually we come back the next day because we messed up on something. We’re not perfect, maybe Instagram makes it look like we have perfect cars, but we don’t. It actually takes a lot of work to build a car that we would be happy with. A suspension drop, wheels and a lip kit doesn’t really count as a build for us. It’s definitely a start, but what separates the car scene kids to the true enthusiast is the attention to detail and the never ending thirst to build a complete all around car.

From Lexus to Nissan now Subaru, Vinh is trying to catch them all. He has always been able to build some unique cars with his simplistic style, every car he has built had it’s own way of grabbing your attention without it having something crazy to it.

Today’s project is Abbitt’s Subaru, we were getting it prepped for a tune. Abbitt is not about the details of his car, if it works and looks good, it’s fine for him. He still builds some pretty cool cars though.

Love/hate relationship for Vinh and building cars. He likes building cars, but he hates being broke from buying the parts.

John’s been a rut trying to sell his Work VS-TX. Seems like people now a days don’t want to be a gangster.

Sunsets and slammed cars. Even though cars can be a headache, nothing beats seeing your hard work put into a car with the sun setting in the background. Do it for the love of the build instead of Instagram likes.

Trade Show | Agenda 2014

When I was uploading photos from my previous photo shoot with Edris, I realized I had a bunch of photos that I forgot to edit and upload.

Abbitt came through my work to visit and we decided to test out my new lens filter on his car.

Another set I forgot to post up was my visit to Agenda 2014. As we move on to push the HOODRATstuff brand it meant moving out of my comfort zone of car shows to a different type of show that would help network with some of the players in the street wear industry.

Long Beach convention center, I remember having to go here for community service conventions when I was in Key Club. Crazy how things turn full circle.

H2Oi 2014

H2Oi…You have probably heard of this event that takes places at the end of September in Ocean City, Maryland. If you haven’t heard of it by now, then you are missing out on the biggest automotive gathering on the East Coast. This year some of our friends and I decided to go finally check it out, and experience what H2Oi is all about.

The moment we landed in Ocean City it was worth it already. Nothing but the best the East Coast has to offer, especially in the Euro realm.

Once we were on Coastal Highway aka the strip, there was nothing but modified car after modified car. It was almost as if you were living in a city, where auto enthusiasts out numbered regular people.

There was a good variety of everything cruising up and down the strip throughout the weekend.

One of the craziest things was the amount of police activity. People were getting towed left and right because Ocean City police believed their cars to be unsafe to drive. So, they impounded an enormous amount of cars, but all those cars were towed right back out and back onto the streets. Like this tC from New York.

Then once night hit we witnessed the beautiful chaos. There were even more cars on the strip, and this time doing burnouts for days up and down the strip. And the amount of people watching on the sidewalks was utterly crazy. It was really something you had to be there to experience.

The amount of people during the day was nothing to the amount of people that came out at night.

And then any random area you go, you would see a cool car.

The trip to H2Oi for the first time was definitely something you will not forget, and have major withdrawals. I would recommend everyone to take the chance to experience it for themselves, because any pictures or videos you see online just do not live up to the first hand account.

Just Hold On We’re Going Home

Just as the title says, just hold on we’re going home. We were on our way back from Las Vegas, Nevada; where we had our annual anniversary meet. Going down the 15 North back to Southern California we ended up at the abandoned water park to take some quick pictures before traffic builds up too much.

Formula Drift Long Beach 2014 and Offset Kings Show Case

I feel like I’ve been covering Formula Drift Long Beach for a while now. Not much has changed, maybe different cars but the same vibe. Seems like every year I get less and less content because I end up having other priorities on my plate. This year it was the first time I was working with a company that had a booth in the vendor aisle. So my deepest apologies if there isn’t that many photos.
