    Wagon Life

Young is no stranger to the Lexus brand. He has been through various models through the years, and it is no surprise he is also a Lexus technician.

Young chose to be apart of the wagon life as he used to have a regular is300, but always wanted the rare Sportcross model aka Altezza Gita. He really just wanted to get something he could slide around in.

The rare TRD front bumper really hits the spot.

As we took the car through the turns of this dead area, we decide it be a cool spot to shoot for a bit.

Besides all the suspension components and modifications, the Work Varianza Schwert SC2 wheels look mighty fine.

I am in love with everything Young has done to this IS300 Sportcross so far.

Being the wheel whore Young is known to be. He is already on a different set of Work Wheels. Work XT-7s.

Enjoying the rear as the California sun sets off into the distance.

  • A Weekend in Sin City

    A Weekend in Sin City

It was that time of the year again where Royal Origin invades Las Vegas to have our 3rd annual meet and greet in the city of sin. As the years passed, nothing has changed for the most part. We do it to have fun with our friends and family, and love making new friends with each passing year.

Some of you might know this by now, but I recently went Universal Air bags over BC Racing coilovers with Accuair analog management. Thanks to Bag Riders and Unlimited Auto Craft for helping me get it all together. Because of this, I was constantly working on getting everything fine tuned and safe to make the journey to Las Vegas. In the end, I made it to the meet with only one hour left before the meet ended. Regardless, I was happy to see everyone who made it out.

The top two pictures you see above is my car aired up at 80 PSI, which is also my drive height. Here I am cruising to Red Rock Canyon, which is in the North-West corner of Las Vegas.

With Red Rock Canyon as our back drop we have Chivas’ Civic, Ashton’s IS350, Neel’s Accord, Alex’s E36, and my Mazdaspeed 3.

My car aired out on 18×10 +25 Cosmis Racing MR7, which were powder coated Gloss White.

Overall I am super satisfied with the Cosmis Racing MR7. The concave is extremely aggressive, and the wheels feel a bit lighter than most cast wheels these days.

You can see more of my build items over at MazdaFitment.com.

Gassed up and ready for some Las Vegas night shots with Goco Photography. Look out for more LV weekend coverage.

    Thanks

  • President’s Day Mini Shoot.

    President’s Day Mini Shoot.

After I got off work, I decided to meet up with Kentaro and Ryan for a fun little photo shoot. I recently borrowed a camera from Neel and really wanted to try out the potential of the Canon Powershot S95. I’ve heard some great reviews as a standard point and shoot so I wanted to give it a test.

My E36, now sitting on Work VS-XX.

Kentaro’s new racing dynamic wheels. His car looks really good rolling, surprisingly.

Kentaro’s profile shot of his E46.

I can now say that my car is finally coming together.

Here is Ryan McVicker’s Custom Super White VW MKIV GTI 20th.

     Grippin’ that wood grain.

     Ohhh Simply Crean.

Those 3SDM’s sure do look good.

Ryan’s fitment is spot on. You really don’t find too many static low VW’s as much. Mainly everyone in the Volkswagen community tends to go with air ride.

Last but not least, Kentaro’s E46. I’m totally digging his front fitment right now. Dead flush and the rears tuck in perfectly. In my opinion, this is how a daily driven car should be modified. Low enough to stand out, but have the functionality to still have that get up and go, and not have to worry about bumps, dips, etc.

I still can’t believe that the little camera did all of this. Expect to see more pictures, and blog posts from me in the future. 2013 is going to be a big year for us so stay tuned :]

  • White & White

    White & White

We were out in Las Vegas, Nevada for the end of the SEMA show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. After we were done with SEMA, we had some time to chill with our friends out there like usual and shoot the cars for a bit. It had been a while since I made a video and got my hands on a new crane, so it was a fun way to learn some new things while filming. Nevertheless, I especially liked this shoot because both these cars were running new setups; be it new wheels or new lip kits. Check out Minh Nguyen’s Lexus IS250 and Keith Cheng’s Honda Accord.

I also had some time to take some pictures, something I rarely do, but have gotten into playing around with my photo skills these days.

Minh still rocking the Junction Produce Scara wheels, but now with a new lip kit. Looks mighty fine.

Keith recently got a much needed firmware update on his wheel setup; it’s been outdated since 2010. Now updated to Work VS-KF wheels.

    PEACE BE WITH YOU.

  • Summer in Ghetto Valley

    Summer in Ghetto Valley

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to this corner of California. I used to swing by every other weekend just to sleep over and make shitty fried rice. Well, things change, people grow apart, and memories are just that…memories. So, it was cool to see some of the guys that I haven’t seen because of whatever they have going on in their lives. I forgot how much fun it was when we just hung out and did random shenanigans.

  • Mini Vinh

    Mini Vinh

Our good friend Syo Kuwabara from Niigata, Japan has always been making incredible scale models, either based on real-life cars or creations that are original. This time, he made one that hits us at home with this 1:24 scale model of Vinh Luong’s Subaru STi on Work CR-Kai. You can see the time and effort Kuwabara put into it to get it just right.

You probably thought this was a real car for a very brief moment.

Even down to the very kit that Vinh is on is pretty accurate!

Rear shot with the exhaust. Such beautiful work.

This 1:24 scale model even has great fitment.

Hope you guys enjoyed this scale model, because we love scale models. Thank you very much, Kuwabara, for taking the time and effort to make this and even send us the shots. I know you made this for yourself because you love it, so thank you for the love.

  • The Biggest of All Vinhs

    The Biggest of All Vinhs

The other day, KPH photography hit me up to shoot this girl Julie. It was super last minute, but we had everything planned out. We just needed a location and a car. KPH found the location and I got the car. I knew that my friend Vinh was going to get off work soon and that he’s always down for a shoot, so I called him first and he agreed. When we all met up, the model Julie complained that she was cold, was not comfortable shooting with me, and did not want to shoot with a car. Basically, it was a waste of time for Vinh and I to come, so I decided fuck it, I’ll just shoot Vinh’s car since he made the trek out to shoot with us.

If I had anyone to thank for getting me into the car scene, it would be this guy, Vinh. Oh yeah, this isn’t the same Vinh that owns the red STI on Work Ultimates. That’s Dep Trai(Handsome in Vietnamese) Vinh, and not the one that owns the Black SC300 on Work Meisters that’s Cute Vinh. The one we’re talking about is Big Vinh.  Back when I didn’t know what a Lexus was and why cars even have engines, he was the one who got me into it. I forgot how it even started; I just remember when he first lowered his GS300 and got some OEM G35 wheels, I was really impressed. From then on, our friendship grew because I would always go to him when I needed advice on my car or help with installing something. He’s been there for all of my car-related needs ever since back then until now. Til this day, I still go to his house when I want to get something difficult installed. Enough of the fan boy talk,  now let me show you his pristine Lexus LS430.

Vinh’s LS is tucking some Work Varianzas V5S. Vinh loves Work Wheels because it reflects the kind of person he is. Always putting in WORK.

  • The Night Ends.

    The Night Ends.

It has been awhile since some of us have seen each other and been able to hangout. So, we decided to go to our old familiar hang out spots to just hang out like the good old days. This familiar place is called “The Lair.” Why? Because this is the place we would always end our night of doing hoodrat stuff together. It is an awesome place to be and the lighting there is quite interesting; always get some memorable shots.

A quick video filmed and edited by Shavi W. of what the Lair is about. Friends and good times.

Three perfect examples of the good-side of the Honda community, which we all hear negative things all the times, whether it is the driver or the car itself.
