Better late than never! Not sure why I lagged so hard on posting this coverage because I actually enjoyed how the photos came out of my Minolta 24-85mm lens. The lens is small and it has a great range, but the best thing about it was that it only cost me $50 for this lens on eBay. Fucking deals. Anyways, it’s been about two years since I’ve been to my last SPOCOM. SPOCOM to me is a car show that uses models as their main attraction with the glits and glam of musical performances and dance competitions. I think most people bring their cars to this show because they want to win the big sword trophies which I’ve secretly always wanted.
The crowd at SPOCOM is interesting, seems like they are not really into cars and are more into just being somewhere that they think is cool. The other portion of the crowd are the creeper photographer dudes. These guys are literally at every event, they are the hardcore fans of Import models similar to the Japanese idol otakus. These guys are the type of dudes that pay webcam girls that don’t strip. I’m a creeper photographer myself, but I’m more into watching these guys interact with the models. All in all everyone has their own demons, so who am I to judge? Do you. Anyways, on to the car coverage…
Niko Edition widebody 370z on step lipped SSR Vienna Kreis.
I always thought a wider 350/370z would look like a bubble with a wide body kit on it, but this kit pulls it off nicely.
O.G. Royal Origin shirt, it looks like he takes good care of that shirt.
Subaru on some crazy gold mesh wheels, not sure what brand it is.
This is just more confirmation that I need TE-37s in my life. What I love about the Lexus IS is that it can be a sporty build or a VIP build and will still look good.
On the other side of the spectrum, Matthew’s Fabulous LS430 on 20″ Fabolous Profounds.
The Yang to Matt’s Yin is Jessy’s Mode Parfume LS430 on VIP Modulars.
These ENKEI RS05RR look great on this Subaru sedan.
This Nissan S30 was killing it at the show rocking some super deep dish Work Equips.
Monster fitment.
The paint job on this Supra is fire.
Speaking of fire, this new RWB is looking amazing on the show room floor.
Loving the yellow and black accents on the Porsche.
You can tell I really like this car. Car life goals.
Yogi’s custom widebody GS.
My other favorite Porsche. So dreamy..
Jerald’s RC350 at the show thanks to MRSEAM for driving it.
Jessyca’s AIMGAIN IS250C.
Big Steve’s LS400.
Crazy Mazda RX-7 with a 26b engine.
Staycrushing with a new color way. Looks much better.
Mikey’s recently purchased Porsche. Living that MBN lifestyle.
At least the crowd is entertained.
Way too intense for me.
Whoa a wide body for a RSX?
Loving this wheel setup on this Rocket Bunny FRS.
The view from the sky deck.
Packed like sardines.
Rocket Bunny NSX from Auto Fashion.
Ryan’s E30 on Volk TE-37s.
In the midst of wide body cars, this clean EF stood out to me. I need one as a daily or a CRX.
Michael Mao is back with a new paint job! Loving the glossiness.
Mikey’s Unicorn Integra. Must be nice to have two cars at the same show.
Bikini show down, can you guess which one is a stripper?
Ross, Davin and Alice from J Spirit! It was nice hanging out with you guys!
If you’re in Japan in September, make sure you stop by their United Royals show!
A couple of mortgages in this line up.
Took out the 24MM 1.4, can you see the difference in the photos?
The vaping Jesus!
I see Yasu everywhere.
Joey’s AIMGAIN Q45 on SSR MS3.
Regina modeling.
Some people were serious about their model photography.
Finally met Rosie Ly and gave her the HOODRATstuff x Rosie Ly sticker.
Thanks for checking out our coverage of SPOCOM 2015 and as always there are more photos in the gallery. Also big shout out to Kristina for getting me in!
