Formula Drift Long Beach has always been the show season opener for us and we’re usually on the show side of the Fire Stone bridge, but this year we decided to be in the vendor village and try to really stand out. What we didn’t expect was how much work it is to be a vendor. We use to think dropping off our cars the night before for the show was a hassle already, but now we had to set things up on Thursday and work the booth from Friday to Saturday, 9AM – 6PM. Even with all of this adversity, we still managed to pull it off with the help of everyone in the team and friends who came by to support us and some even worked our booth when we got tired. Well now that I got all of that information out of the way, let’s begin the coverage with our setup on Thursday.
Gabe’s S13 which was flossing at the In4mation booth.
Hard wired face.
Ridiculously low and ready for some drifting.
Chrome wrapped Liberty Walk M4.
Drift ready 45 on Varrstoens.
Nice livery on this E36 with some sick Rotiforms.
Hardcore Tokyo brought our some hardcore Japanese inspired drift cars.
Car Modify Wonder S13 looks incredibly clean on some Advan GT wheels.
Z-Project is killing it with the fender to meaty tire fitment. Definitely a style that we’re not use to seeing over here in the states.
Another S13, but this time in coupe form with a Car Modify Wonder body kit.
And then there was our booth with Kevin’s bagged S2000 on Avant Garde wheels. These wheels are for sale by the way, just email us at royalorigin@royal-origin.com for more info!
After setting up our booth, we decided to head out to Smoqued BBQ in Orange for some lunch. We got some fried guacamole sticks for appetizers and the BBQ pulled pork mac and cheese.
Remember to share this!
Later, I hit up the AW Stickers crew to set up our selling board for tomorrow. Excellent sticker placement by Abbitt and Henry! Made Abbitt work on his birthday haha!
The next morning we woke up early to drop off more things for our booth and spotted this clean NSX.
I only see this GS once a year and it’s always at Formula Drift.
I actually see this car twice a year and that’s at both Formula Drift events in California.
It was recently Vinh’s birthday, so we got him two of his favorite things in the world combined into one. Dick shaped sweets.
Friday, our booth was looking a bit fuller with both of our booth cars out.
The GTR wasn’t exactly ready to be displayed yet, so it was under wraps for Friday. It was extremely annoying when people were lifting up the cover. People have no fucking respect.
After the show, Ryan and Jason came to work a little bit on the GTR and we finally got to see the unveiling.
First time seeing a black Liberty Walk GTR without all of the glitz and glam. Usually we see Liberty Walk GTRs with crazy liveries or crazy wheels, but seeing one that looks so simple had us feeling some type of way.
Now time to enjoy some good old drifting.
