Karuma X VJC Tires Car Meet | Event Coverage

The homies over at Karuma had their 3rd annual meet at VJC Tires this past weekend and it was super lit! When we pulled up to the meet we were already in dead stop traffic.

There was no place to park, so people just started parking in the middle of the street.

So awesome to see Karuma blow up! Congrats on all the success guys!

The main event, Shavi’s MS3 only leaves the garage once a year and the Karuma car meet was a worthy event to go to.

    Danny’s Cima always looking pristine.

Nimo’s only working car at the moment.

    Taylor’s famous LS400.

    Jonathan’s slammed 370Z.

This meet had some of the sickest LS400s in California like AJ’s LS slammed on Work Emitz. Also have the LS400 tee that Karuma made in the background.

Instagram friends, but never met in real life. @snkrwiz SC is so sick!

The sun was hitting just perfect for all of the cars on the left side of the street.

The best static, Josh’s IS300 wagon on SSR Viennas.

Going around judging the shit out of people’s cars.

    Clean.

Congrats again to Karuma for a successful event and coming up lately! You guys are what the car community needs when it comes to good vibes and good times. That’s it for the coverage! I hope you enjoyed the photos and stay safe out there!

Cars and Kegs February | Event Coverage

It was one of those Saturdays, where we just felt like going out. Luckily for us my friend Mikey was throwing a meet at Brewery X and I saw that as an opportunity to go out with the boys. The Cars and Kegs is a car meet hosted by my friend Mikey, it’s a monthly meet that happens at a brewery in Anaheim. I saw some photos from the previous month and I knew I would need to check it out.

Cruising through he 57 North with John’s S2000.

    The Power of Dreams.

First thing we saw was someone dressed up as Rikkamaru. It was stupid hot too, so props to this guy.

A pair of RWBs on display in the patio.

    I can never ignore a clean IS300.

Brewery X is pretty dope, has a ton of TVs to watch sports and plenty of space for big parties.

Supra on Advan GT that I saw at our Giving SZN 2 event.

    I need a S15.

Q45 tuckin’ on some Weds Bazerias.

    Bagged R8.

    Mikey’s Amuse 370z on Volk Te-37 SLs.

After the meet we decided to go to Tsujita for lunch. I got some sweet roller shots of Ky’s GS on the way.

Car stuff and ramen makes a great Saturday.

Level One Japan Shibuya Meet | Event Coverage

We were just walking around Akihabara, giggling through the sex shops, eating small bites from Pablo and then a familiar sound of loud exhausts and down shifting rang our ears with delight. A group of Nissan GTR owners pulled up on the side of the road and gave pedestrians a side show.

Dustin Williams showed up with his new Nissan R34 GTR and a squad of cool cars to caravan to a meet in Shibuya.

    RWB “RAUH PASSION”

Coincidentally, we were also heading to the car meet in Shibuya. It was being hosted by our good friends Level One Japan and we wanted to see some cool local cars.

I always see this NSX when I’m in Japan. I’m glad it hasn’t changed.

Perfectly executed S2000 from Level One Japan.

Some pretty big players in the car scene, Mark Arcenal from Fatlace/Illest, Illiad from FinalBout and Hiro from Level One Japan.

Great turn out at the meet! Thanks for hosting Level One Japan!

    Yokohama Touring | RO Explore

Some photos of our adventures with Koruworks, shout out to Tyler and Shawn for taking us around Yokohama!

The first morning stop in Yokohama was the famous Daikoku parking area. Even if there isn’t a meet being hosted, cool cars still end up coming here.

This old school Lotus looked so unique. I’m not even sure what model it is. Let me know in the comments!

    Veilside NSX pulling up.

Spotted Freddie from Auto Fashion on the way to the Auto Fashion Japan show. I wish we were going to that show to see some awesome VIP cars.

Clean Amuse 370z with a Pandem wide body and Work Meisters L1 3P.

The next stop was Moon Eyes Yokohama. It felt like walking into an 80’s movie with all of the vintage cars and the garage setup.

Will I ever be able rock a slick back hair cut and a leather jacket?

If only Ford owners were this cool in America.

Our last stop was ASM Autobacs, a S2000 owners heaven.

This Autobacs sold only Recaro seats and had a spot to work on cars. I didn’t realized how many variations of Recaros there were until now.

The famous ASM S2000 was also on display.

Ending it with the most random thing there, this Hatsune Mikue Z4.

TAB Tuesday (Happy Birthday Ron!) | Event Coverage

I remember when I first got into cars, Vinh invited me on a caravan cruise to a car meet in West Covina called TAB(Take a Break) Tuesday. This was my first time driving further than 30 miles outside my city and I was scared of getting lost. Luckily, I made it to the meet with the group and I was blown away by the awesome amount of cars that were at the meet. It was hosted at Store 13 and the parking lot was packed! It was my first experience going to a large scale car meet and it blew my mind how many people were into modifying cars. Years later, I would meet the person who started TAB Tuesday, Ron Sino Cruz. He was a super nice guy and was always welcoming to talk to anyone who had time. He was one of those people who had a genuine love for modifying cars, unlike kids today who do it for the internet fame. He was the leader of Team Supastar and I met a lot of cool people through that team when I was going with them to car shows. They made going to car shows fun and that was the vibe that I wanted for Royal Origin. Sadly, Ron passed away two years ago, last week his wife, Celine hosted a TAB Tuesday on his birthday at Speed Zone and we had to come out to this meet.

You know John’s ready to flex when he has his wing and canards on.

First caravan of the year with my SC, Kevin’s EK and John’s S2000.

Also first time in a while where we had more than 4 cars at a meet!

First cool thing we saw were these slammed VIP style Priuses.

Drift style E36 with a BN sports kit.

Clean convertible E46 on BBS RS.

Amazing this S13 was able to get over the speed bumps in the Speed Zone parking lot.

    I need a CRX.

    Rob’s sick Q45.

Ron always had an eye for building unique cars like his BMW 85Oi.

    #TEAMRON

Who would put VS-KFs on a Mercedes SUV? Only Ron.

Taylor’s LS400 on vintage Rays Payton Place wheels.

    Great times with the crew!

You will always be remembered Ron.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 | Event Coverage

Imagine quitting your job and forgetting you still have a Japan trip planned with your ex-employer. Welp, that’s exactly what I did on this year’s Japan trip. Every time I’m in some sort of cross road in my life, a journey to Japan always happens. This year I was more excited to hang out with Ryo since his job was a lot more flexible than previous years. He was actually able to hang out with us and take us on some food adventures which will be up soon! Ryo picked us up bright and early because he didn’t want to get stuck in the Friday morning TAS traffic.

You know you’re going to a dope car event when there are nice cars en route to the show.

The driver was a older gentlemen, I wish my grandpa was this cool.

The parking lot is always lit at Tokyo Auto Salon.

Thhis Mark X on TE-37s is just amazing!

90’s Era Supra vs 2020’s Supra.

I feel like my neck can twist a 360 from getting my neck broken by all the sick cars in the lot.

Inside was even more magical with cars from the top companies in Japan. These are the people who get us to spend on some dumb ass shit, so now it’s impossible for me to keep a car stock. Check out this sick Ford GT Development (GTD) Ford GT40 replica from Liberty Walk.

BN Sports had some sick drift builds like this wide RX7.

So cool to see your friend’s products at an event in Japan. Nice job Reggie!

That tow sticker is hilarious to me for some reason on this ready to drift R32.

Man how do they build such nice cars. I can’t even change my window wiper..

When soccer moms wanna flex too.

This FRS has such futuristic body lines reminds me of the Tesla Truck or a Gundam.

This year Tokyo Auto Salon collabed with Hello Kitty. A lot of cool merch was available for purchase.

When you really hate your neighborhood.

Something beautiful about a line of LED tail lights are near each other.

Car Modify Wonder cars are a dream come true. I hope to build my SC just 10% of this and I would be really happy.

The A90 Supra with HKS livery had to be done of course and it looks amazing.

Rodney was ready to accept a bukkake tsunami from his drift hero.

Please buy from shop.royal-origin.com. I need to spend my money on Japanese car parts.

Is it weird to have as a goal is to own a 326 Power kitted car? Like full suspension, body kit and same wheel fitment. It would never leave my driveway, but it would be super dope to own.

Honestly, I’m sure I missed out on a lot of cool cars, but the general audience were about to come in, so we decided to leave early because taking photos without the frenzy of the crowd would be impossible. Please stay tuned for more Japan posts!

We started the new year with some new Work Meister for John’s S2000. I also bought an external flash and it made a big difference in my photography. Now I just need a second flash to even out the lights. Check out some photos I took of John’s S2000 below..

VIP Fest Pre-Meet | Event Coverage

SEMA week usually ends with a mini car meet after the load out. This year it was called the VIP Fest Pre-Meet and most of the time you can see some pretty sick cars that were from the SEMA show.

Met up with Chivas and Vince at Vince’s work. Here is Chivas’s 4Runner now on Black Rhino wheels.

    Vince’s Integra collecting dust.

Simon reppin’ the Underground Kings jacket.

We arrived to the meet and was greeted by so many nice cars flowing into the parking lot.

Chris Reyes rolling in like a boss in his 300.

Awesome Hakosuka that was meeting up with Dione from Toyo Tires for a photo shoot.

    Royal Origin Exploration Team

So much JDM in one picture..This Mark II with Vienna 5 spokes and ganador was perfect.

Not often I see a clean SC and one that is tucked like this.

You already know who it is. Ian’s Datsun who is frequently in our Vegas car meet coverages.

Clean GS with nice camber all around.

Spotted our FTP sticker on this sick 350Z.

The star of the whole car meet was this sick LS500. This was definitely a crowd favorite.

    A pair of Pandem E30s.

Glad to see the car scene alive and well in Vegas. Maybe anniversary meet next year?

    RENTJDM Opening | Event Coverage

Stayed over at Miguel’s house for the weekend after SEMA and I got to see his whole car dealership in front of his house.

A right hand drive FC that he recently imported and almost ready for sale.

We went to Island Flavor for lunch with his son Ethan.

A must try spot when you’re in Vegas and get the sampler with the kalbi ribs and chicken!

Later that night, we went to go check out the Rent JDM grand opening. Rent JDM is a spot to go rent JDM cars while you’re in Vegas.

They had a lot full of sick JDM cars in front, but I wasn’t sure which one was for rent.

Inside the building there were a display of GTRs of almost every generation.

Maybe something to check out if you’re ever in Vegas and want to rent a JDM car!
