     We had a little surprise birthday party for Abbitt and Vinh again. They have had a tradition of celebrating their birthdays together every year, even though Vinh moved to North Carolina, we still managed to get something done for their birthday. Using an age calculator from dob helped us keep track of their exact ages and made the celebration feel even more special.

    A dinner with Royal Origin consists of putting each other on blasts and testing the limits of our homosexuality.

    Vinh, Clinton and Rica came down from Milpitas just for the birthday dinner.

    Both on their phones instead of socializing. Probably texting each other “happy birthday”.

    Krstina happy that all of the planning of this surprise birthday is over.

    I love whole wheat, my wife and killer Korean dramas.

    We had to have a Filipino person cut the lechon for us. Introducing the lechon girl Rica.

    It was too dark to open up the f stop, so the group photo only consisted of Rodney, John and Andy.

    It was also Abbitt’s mom’s birthday, so we got her a cake too. *A rare appearance by Walker Wilkerson*

    Street Slickers Meet Up | Event Coverage

    I’ve been itching to drive the SC around since the last time I took it to the IDL Design opening and coincidentally, Shavi happened to hit me up to check out this car meet by Street Slickers. The best part about this meet that it was just down the street from my house and it was Kups one of my favorite spots for italian ice cream.

    There was a grip of S13s that showed up, all of them with their own unique styling.

    A pair of clean S13 coupes with Enkei Rpf1s and Work Emotion D9R.

    Shavi brought out the M30 for me to take it into 714 Tires tomorrow for an alignment. This thing is too ridiculous for me, it scrapes on everything.

    This meet had a little bit of everything from VIP to off road trucks.

    Skyline Syndicate Launch Meet | Event Coverage

     Skyline Syndicate is a brand for Skyline enthusiasts and fans of the GTR heritage. Skyline Syndicate decided to throw a car meet for their launch and because some of the members of the brand are good friends of ours, we came by to support and to check out some sweet Skylines.

    As soon as we arrived, police officers were telling everyone what was illegal on their cars. All in good fun though.. I hope.

     Last week was the IDL Design USA grand opening and we had to come out and support the homies over at Phaze 2. When we entered the meet, it was already packed as hell and parking went at least two blocks.

    Roasted duck tacos! This place is the real deal and is a must try. Too bad I forgot the name of the place…. Or maybe I’m just trying to keep it a secret, so it doesn’t get crowded.

    As some of you may know, my boy Vinh Nguyen aka Big Vinh is getting married this year. It was a mix of happy and sad feelings I had when I found out this news. Happy he found someone to love and sad that he’ll be moving away to North Carolina to be with her. His sister put together a little going away party for him and all the homies came through for one last “LET’S DRINK!!”

    Some of these guys I haven’t seen in years. Crazy how life fast forwards so quick.

    GoodbyeVinh and good luck with your life in North Carolina. We’re going to miss hanging out in your garage, getting our air fixed by you, being able to call you for Homie AAA and all of the times you trolled the fuck out of us. There’s no one like you, a big guy with an even bigger heart. Thanks for always being there. I am glad though, because we won’t be over ordering anymore when we go to all you can eat restaurants. Also can you face time us just like the way you did for Cindy in North Carolina?

     Ever since I’ve had good melt off the spoon brisket, I’ve been wanting more and better tasting brisket. Shavi said Bludso’s BBQ made the best brisket he’s ever had in his life, so we decided to head out to LA. Abbitt and Krstina came along to see if it even comes close to Texas BBQ.

    It’s crazy when you’ve had something and you thought it was the best ever and then something else tops it. This is what Bludso’s BBQ did for me. What a life. I can’t wait to try some Texas BBQ in June. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

     Whenever I’m high up like this, I just think all the problems we stress about are just so small when you look at the big picture. Maybe you just have to live for the small things like the feeling you get when you bite into a piece of brisket or laughing so hard that you accidentally fart and make all your friends smell it in the backseat. Maybe those feelings are the only things that matter at the end of the day.

    We all got a lot of content on this trip, but Krstina especially.

    I’ve been to Japan so many times that I felt like there was nothing left to do. This trip showed me that there was so much I haven’t done yet. We met up with Sara, Diana, Alex and Ty in Shibuya for breakfast.

    After Kawaii Monster, we decided that A5 yakiniku would help get rid of the bland taste in our mouths.

    We went to Roppongi and checked out the Tokyo City View. I actually like this view better than being inside the Tokyo Tower.

    Keisuke was downing drinks with Vinh all night. I’m very impressed on how much they both drank. I would’ve been dead after the third drink.
