    Fast Autoworks

The last stop on this all-day car meet was Fast Autoworks, where they had a BBQ full of bomb Asian food. If there’s free food, you’ll know where I’ll be. We took a caravan of 10 cars to Fast Autoworks, so the street was filled with modified cars, just like the one scene in Fast and Furious where they had lunch at Dom’s house and the white guy gave thanks for turbos, etc.  Anyways, on to the photos…

  • LTMW 2013 Meet

    LTMW 2013 Meet

It was one of those days where all I wanted to do was check out cars all day long. I decided the night before that I would go to all the car meets on Saturday which included Cars and Coffee in Irvine, LTMW in El Monte, and Fast Autoworks in Arcadia. I met up with Dat at Cars and Coffee because he planned to drive the Fatlace FRS to all the meets. Since he planned to go to the LTMW meet after, we caravanned to Charles’ house where everyone met up before the LTMW meet.

Formula Drift: Slammed Society Long Beach 2013

Here is a little coverage of the Formula Drift Long Beach show. I wasn’t able to get on the track because I got to Formula Drift around 3:00P.M. and it was already ending, so I just did some coverage of the Slammed Society and Vendor area. Please excuse some of the photos because they might be a little distorted and blurry. I was planning to use some of the photos for Hella Flush. Their website needs 1450 width while this site uses 610, so the photos with 1450 that are re-sized automatically to 610 look weird. If you click on the photo to the media size, it looks way better. Before hitting up the show, some of us had brunch at Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ.

  • Formula D 2013 Tech Day

    Formula D 2013 Tech Day

Unfortunately for me I wasn’t able to join everyone in Vegas this past weekend. It seemed like everyone was out in the desert cruising the strip, sipping on drinks, and rolling the dice. Instead I stayed back in Irvine and set my plans to go to the Formula D Tech Day at the Source Interlink Media office.

The day started nice and early for me. The event was scheduled to start at 10AM but I decided to arrive early with my cousin to help the organizers with the parking arrangements. We pulled into the lot at 8AM and there were already people arriving to get their desired parking spots. I’ve always thought that if people are showing up 2 hours early to an event, it’s pretty safe to assume that it’s going to be a pretty good turnout. I definitely wasn’t disappointed.

Amir’s Porsche 911 – As the pictures depict, this car is no joke. Real aero, real chassis enhancements, and real sticky tires. One day I’ll have something like this to beat around the track.

Before barrage of cars started to arrive I was able to spot a nice red DC2 Integra on Rotiforms rocking a HOODRATstuff sticker. It was great to catch up with a supporter especially when I figured everyone would have been in Vegas. Turns out that he had attended the Royal Origin Vegas meet the night before and then headed down to Orange County right after it was over.

As the morning ticked away a lot more cars started to pull in to take over the empty parking lot. GTR’s definitely showed a great presence at the meet.

A couple of Fatlace cars also showed up. One of which was Yogi’s GS that was only put together the night before. Excuse my crappy picture taking skills. It doesn’t do this car any justice.

Spotted this clean G35 sedan on some Rotiform SNA’s. Something like this has always been my dream daily driver.

Awesome sticker on the fender-fucked fender as well ;).

Regular CSL styling and stock sizing fenders wasn’t enough for the owner of this car. He took the “whale-tail” and widebody styling to a whole ‘nother level.

There were a lot of nice EVO’s in attendance as well.

Kenny Chieu’s awesome looking MR-S. Catch this car getting sideways in the Top Drift competition this year.

Another awesome looking MR-S parked right next to it, this one looking more grip inspired.

The popularity of the FR-S chassis has spread like wildfire. A reasonable priced car, well developed chassis and big aftermarket support has appealed to a lot of people  and it showed at this event. Although most of them are either performance inspired or rocking played out Rocket Bunny kits this car gave off a very different style. Slightly wider wheel fitment and a little more drop would make it looking clean and perfect.

The whole point of the event was for this year’s Formula D contestants to have their cars inspected to follow the championship regulations. Time for some drift car porn!

Mike Essa’s new E46 . Brand new build for the 2013 season. I can’t wait to see it complete and competing at the first round in Long Beach.

Taka Aono’s refreshed Corolla. Although some cars arrived incomplete, it was good to see some of the new changes in livery and modifications done to the other cars.

Joon Maeng’s and his team were also there with their competition car for the 2013 season. One thing that I would like to point out is that Joon was there nice and early, and even after the car was finished with the inspection, his team set up a tent and stayed all day answering questions and hanging out with the fans. Now that’s an awesome guy!

Defending champion Daigo Saito’s car. I can’t wait to see this thing go at it again this year.

I noticed a line forming towards the front of the event so I went over to check out what was going on…

    Sandra Wong had arrived.

Throughout the whole day cars were leaving and more cars were pouring in so I decided to do a few more strolls through the aisles.

Then I spotted this. A HAKOSUKA GTR! YES!

These days, it’s not a good car meet without some food trucks. Dos Chinos, Dogzilla, Sexy Burger and Tropical Shave Ice were there to provide food for the hungry.

Whether it be one an apex eating track car or a VIP styled ride, TE37SL’s look good anywhere, anytime, on anything.

Towards the end of the event this R34 arrived. I had spotted him out of the street and wanted to take a snap of it. He cheekily flipped his license plate as I pulled up my camera.

Despite my sunburnt face and getting a “no-front-plate” ticket while leaving the event, it was a pretty good day. I tend to grow tired of car events when I see the same old cars over and over again but the Formula D Tech Day always had something going on to entertain me.

To the idiots who thought it was a 0-40mph competition or who wanted to show off that their piece of shit cars had an exhaust, I’d like to thank you for ruining the meet by gaining the Irvine PD’s attention. Although the police allowed the event to continue, they weren’t shy about pulling people over towards the end of the meet. I’ve been around long enough to know that this will always happen at large gatherings but I had always hoped that people would grow the fuck up. It’s amusing because the cars that are properly built and that are actually impressive tend to leave events in a proper manner, whereas the piece-of-crap jank cars always leave like they have something to prove.

  • A Night to Remember

    A Night to Remember

About a week ago, Lowballers Japan came out to Cali for a little visit. We actually threw a small meet for them so they could get a feel of what the car scene is like out here. Unfortunately, I arrived to the meet on Filipino time so I wasn’t able to snap any pictures. A couple of days after the meet, we took the Lowballers out for the night. We decided on Past Memories in Garden Grove. It is a small Korean restaurant that serves bombdotcom Soju and pretty good Korean Food. This time, I had my camera with me, so I was ready to snap some pictures of the infamous Lowballers Japan, but stupid me got too buzzed to take pictures so I ended up forgetting to take my camera out (I’m sorry).

Shortly after dinner, the Lowballers went back to their hotel because they had an extremely early flight the next morning. Vince and Yogi from Fatlace/Illest decided to come out and chill with us that night, and Vince brought out his Gangster of Gangsters Honda Odyssey. Nimo also came out that night and brought out his super dumped IS300. Since we were all together and Yogi also had his camera, we decided to do a photo shoot of Vince’s car and the rest of the cars that were there.

We started the night off at a DIY car wash. Vince, looking sexy as fuck, washing his car.

Vince making sure the van is spotless.

Minh tried to be sexy like Vince, but failed.

Nimo decided to dump the shit out of his car so he could shit on June Choi…lol jk.

Nimo now eats the pavement for breakfast.

Minh thinking to himself, “mehhh, that was me two years ago.”

My little sister DD for me that night, she’s awesome. Keep a look out for her STI this year. It’s going to be crazy.

Yogi about to do some magic with his camera.

    sequence 021-2

Unfortunately all the pictures I took of Vince’s car came out like shit. All of them were super grainy or too dark. I messed around with one picture in Photoshop and this is what I came out with. Like I said before, this van is super gangster. I believe it is rocking a set of Work Meister’s s1R on one side and a set of SSr MS1 on the other side. Don’t quote me on it though because I am not 100 percent sure.

    yogi's photographer stance

    Yogi’s photographer stance.

Jeff came out that night as well, and brought out his RSX. This thing will always make you drool.

Nimo and Young decided to park hard as fuck at the underground parking lot.

Neel’s Honda Accord with a fresh set of Work Emitz.

    sequence 005-2

Neel’s Accord has to be one of the most underrated and overlooked cars in the car scene. It definitely needs more publicity because his car is just neckbreaking!!

  • Video Timeline 2012

I recently decided to compile all my footage from 2012 into a timeline video. While I was doing this, I thought it was cool that I took the time and effort to create a video nearly every month of the year. Great way to learn from my mistakes and improve; at least I hope I am improving. In the end, I do this for fun as an additional hobby to my obsession with cars. I hope you guys enjoy a look into my 2012.

  • Living in FUCKING SURVIVAL

    Living in FUCKING SURVIVAL

We weren’t sure how this meet would turn out and honestly thought that the first spot we picked would be sufficient enough. Reason is because we used to have meets at Tastea and that lot is way smaller than the Genki Living spot. Nimo, Jennifer, and I were still on our way home from Vegas that evening and by 8:30PM, Alex texted me that the parking lot was already getting packed.  I just told him that we’ll figure it out when I get there, thinking it couldn’t have been that bad. I was so wrong.

    IMG_6404

The parking lot was so packed that it was difficult to even walk around. It was a cluster fuck of cars.

Speaking of Daniel, here’s his Subie.

I always see this IS250 at our meets. Thanks for the support homie!

Business in the front, party in the back.

    Mark’s big booty hoe.

    IMG_6493

It was cool that most of the cars here were slammed and we didn’t have to tippy toe to find anyone’s car.

    IMG_6494

    Sweet beetle.

    IMG_6487

    KSANCHEZ and KJOHNSTON.

    IMG_6486

This spot ended up getting rolled on too; they gave Angelo a ticket for being too low and this time they put non-correctable. Might be a $500 fucking ticket.

    IMG_6468

Useless crew came out to kick it.

    IMG_6467

    S2K’s on the roll.

    IMG_6476

Clean Miata. I am in love with the red paint!

    IMG_6502

We moved to the third spot just in case the cops wanted to shut down M&M’s too. This time, we only invited close friends to Tastea.

The Vegas peeps tried to surprise us & left Vegas 20 minutes after us so they can catch up, but Chivas ended up having oil filter problems and got stuck in Barstow. We ended up driving back to get them with an oil filter. Nice try guys, it was the effort that counts.

    Hey there Mikey.

Sloppy crusin’ out because he found out Tastea doesn’t serve alcohol.

    IMG_6562

    Time for some 350z porn. Here’s Angelo’s $500-ticketed 350z.

    IMG_6560

John Park just recently traded his Equips for some Meisters. Looking good!

Another wheel whore, Christforeman sittin’ on some new Weds LX-Zs.

    IMG_6563

Miguel couldn’t afford new wheels, so he just powder coated them.

    Wish I had a wide angle lens…

    IMG_6559

    350z galore.

    IMG_6553

All the RSX’s were jealous of the 350zs and wanted to park next to each other too.

    IMG_6565

    Man was Sam late…

    IMG_6568

I always get cool photos of Matt’s S13.

    IMG_6536

Thanks everybody for coming out and dealing with all that bullshit from the cops, assholes doing burn outs, and bitches speeding in the parking lot. We’ll find a better spot where we can regulate the traffic and not get kicked out by the police. Peace!

  • SEMA 2012

    SEMA 2012

SEMA is an event that everyone in the car industry wants to go to, whether it’s to display their new products, show off new builds, or just to connect with other companies by partying it up in the clubs. Shavi, Keith, and I were able to make it to the last day of SEMA. We kind of got lost walking around the gigantic show and only took photos of things that caught our eyes. It’s either shiny, slammed, or has boobs.

Not sure what kind of truck this is, but it looked pretty cool. On hydraulics, maybe?

EGarage’s RWB was chillin’ outsite in the Toyo tires booth.

Honestly, I just wanted a photo of Fatlace’s GTR, but she insisted on me taking a photo of her with it.

One of the cars that I was super excited to see was Fatlace’s Ben Sopra GTR.

Seeing the teaser photos on Instagram was enough for me to skip work and school to go to SEMA to see it in person.

Rocking some classy Work  Gnosis GS-4.

The rear end is so aggressive! I love it.

So much attention to detail to the lines of the body kit.

    Another cute Falken model.

Liberty Walk Lamborghini Murcielago was another car that I wanted to see in person.

This car was so awesome, we stood by it for a good 20 minutes.

Feel bad for this Wald FRS parked next to the Liberty Walk Lambo, not getting the attention that it would have had it been parked alone.

    Sexy Ellen Navaro.

One of the best builds was this Mercedes Benz 240 with a 2JZ swap on VIP Modulars.

What impressed me the most was the IS250 interior.

Very impressive. I give props to the owner for putting in so much work on this classic car.

Another impressive Mercedes was this SLS AMG GT. Sorry, I couldn’t get a better photo but the model they had was giving a little show when we passed by.

Can’t wait to see her at Spearmint Rhino.

    Lost.

    XXR’s wheels booth.

All the 22″ and over wheel companies had the cutest models.

    This is nice…

    This is even nicer…

This is the best! Vossen bringing the heat.

     GMG carbon fibered out R8.

     Hankook girls.

Probably the best car of the whole show…

Whiteline had Rene’s BRZ as a display.

Jeren showing off his upper body strength and his 240’s KA-T strength.

    Vinh reppin’ DSPORT.

Surprised this tracked out Prius wasn’t in the DSPORT booth.

Hop in kids, it’s time to take a spin around the track.

    New Acura.

Word on the street is that this is just an old NSX with the new NSX’s mold.

    Impressive…

Color scheme is a bit off on this new Accord. Less red would be best.

How the hell did they get this Genesis up there?

     Old school Corvette.

    Hyundai Veloster?

Fatlace FRS, get the tissue papers ready for some FRS porn.

Those tail lights are sick as fuck.

The graphic design goes so well with the Rocket Bunny kit.

    Fatlace.

    Rear fitment.

    Cool skate deck.

    Forever top down FRS.

It looked so futuristic for some reason.

    Lucas Oil FRS.

    Evasive Motorsports FRS.

    “Dat aero doe”

Second place winner of the FRS challenge was this evil tracked out FRS.

    Looks fast, must be fast.

The winner of the Scion tuning challenge was the Minty FRS.

Reminds me of Miguel’s Minty Z, it even had the same steering wheel. Just needs some VIP Modulars and it would be set.

    Moon Eyes.

    Source Interlink’s FRS.

Perform so hard, only need 3 wheels.

    More Bunnies.

What is that beyond thy booth?

    A 1000hp Ben Sopra GTR.

The red makes it look so sinister.

    Race car low.

No clue who this guy is, but there were a lot of cameras around him.

    Rotiform FRS on Air Lift.

One of the prettiest models of the entire show. Heavenly smile.

I would date her so hard.

Caught a glimpse of the man behind Liberty Walk.

Falken had some of the models wearing a Falken superhero costume…I wonder why.

     THAT’S WHY.

     Pretty cool 1969 Ford Mustang.

The new Mustangs look fantastic. I would not mind it at all.

Only cool car in the Mazda booth, in my opinion.

    Dumped Subie.

    Time attack killa Subie.

    Clean 911.

    Wek Sos IS250.

    Bitches love Swarosvki.

When Euro and JDM combine to make an awesome car.

    CR-Ultimates.

    Clean Blue Bird.

    More FRSNESS.

Interesting S2K with cool body lines from the body kit.

Right by it was this cool Mazda RX-7 .

Audi Wagon representing Rotiform even though it’s not rocking Rotiforms, you should know Rotiform does a lot of BBS restoring.

    Sittin’ pretty.

Pretty sweet bug on Rotiform concave NUEs?

SEMA was an awesome experience. It opened my eyes to modify cars that I wouldn’t think twice about, like the newest Ford Mustang and the Hyundai Veloster. Hopefully next year, we’ll be able to go for more than one day and really experience all of SEMA. I feel like we really rushed it because we wanted to explore everything and didn’t get to see the small things at SEMA like the new products and the seminars.

BMW M5 on Leon Hardiritt Orden’s. Owned by Mark of Phase2.

     I’m in love…

    Kirk’s STi from RoyalFlush.

Nimo rockin’ some Work VS-KF’s and his newly painted matched flares.

    Allen of Low n Slow.

    …More like low and fast.

Sup girl, heard you like big tips.

Angelo displaying his new wheels at the showcase.

    Beautifully slammed Accord.

    Ken Block.

What’s a car show without models?

    FormulaD media meeting.

It was pretty damn hot out there on the track. Luckily, they gave us free water to stay hydrated.

First time shooting on the track; it was an awesome experience.

    The Champ, Daigo Saito.

Alex keeping me company at the track.

Awfilms working hard or hardly working? Hmmm.

    Got some behind-the-scene coverage.

    Badass little Z4.

    Greddy FR-S.

    The awards.

    Time for some crew love.

    Nimo’s IS300 scraping everywhere.

    Alex’s E36.

Vu’s Miata on his new Work Meister CR01.

Keychain looking sexy with his VS-KF’s.

    Angelo debuting his Volk.

    Ryan’s GTI.

Minh’s revitalized IS250. Came out looking hard.

    Gerald aka Rootbeer from Vegas.
