Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 | Event Coverage

Imagine quitting your job and forgetting you still have a Japan trip planned with your ex-employer. Welp, that’s exactly what I did on this year’s Japan trip. Every time I’m in some sort of cross road in my life, a journey to Japan always happens. This year I was more excited to hang out with Ryo since his job was a lot more flexible than previous years. He was actually able to hang out with us and take us on some food adventures which will be up soon! Ryo picked us up bright and early because he didn’t want to get stuck in the Friday morning TAS traffic.

You know you’re going to a dope car event when there are nice cars en route to the show.

The driver was a older gentlemen, I wish my grandpa was this cool.

The parking lot is always lit at Tokyo Auto Salon.

Thhis Mark X on TE-37s is just amazing!

90’s Era Supra vs 2020’s Supra.

I feel like my neck can twist a 360 from getting my neck broken by all the sick cars in the lot.

Inside was even more magical with cars from the top companies in Japan. These are the people who get us to spend on some dumb ass shit, so now it’s impossible for me to keep a car stock. Check out this sick Ford GT Development (GTD) Ford GT40 replica from Liberty Walk.

BN Sports had some sick drift builds like this wide RX7.

So cool to see your friend’s products at an event in Japan. Nice job Reggie!

That tow sticker is hilarious to me for some reason on this ready to drift R32.

Man how do they build such nice cars. I can’t even change my window wiper..

When soccer moms wanna flex too.

This FRS has such futuristic body lines reminds me of the Tesla Truck or a Gundam.

This year Tokyo Auto Salon collabed with Hello Kitty. A lot of cool merch was available for purchase.

When you really hate your neighborhood.

Something beautiful about a line of LED tail lights are near each other.

Car Modify Wonder cars are a dream come true. I hope to build my SC just 10% of this and I would be really happy.

The A90 Supra with HKS livery had to be done of course and it looks amazing.

Rodney was ready to accept a bukkake tsunami from his drift hero.

Please buy from shop.royal-origin.com. I need to spend my money on Japanese car parts.

Is it weird to have as a goal is to own a 326 Power kitted car? Like full suspension, body kit and same wheel fitment. It would never leave my driveway, but it would be super dope to own.

Honestly, I’m sure I missed out on a lot of cool cars, but the general audience were about to come in, so we decided to leave early because taking photos without the frenzy of the crowd would be impossible. Please stay tuned for more Japan posts!

GIVING SZN 2 | Event Coverage

Every year we want to do something to give back to the community and Kevin came up with this food drive last year, where people who donate canned food can get raffle tickets for awesome prizes. It was such a big hit that we decided to do it again this year and to try to double up what we received last year in canned foods. This coverage is up late not because I procrastinated, but because it was featured in the latest Stance Magazine. You can see the feature in this issue of Stance Magazine.

Cars were lined up around the block early in the morning.

The only time I’ve seen Abbitt’s Subaru out in the streets and it would be the last because after this he parted out his car.

Super nice Supra on Advan GT wheels.

Icy Boyz in the house with some super slammed IS300s.

    The RO fam line up.

Julia collecting canned food from everyone.

    Canned food for days..

    The Johns.

Another look at Josh’s IS300 wagon. Damn it looks so freaking cool.

Taylor and Shavi checking out the cars on the street.

    Taylor’s LS400 is so dope.

    Nimo, Allen, Kevin and I.

    Japan VIP low style.

Shout out to everyone who came out and donated canned food! We received 3,200 lbs of canned food!! A big thank you to the sponsors for donating prizes!!

  • Tuner EVO SoCal 2018 | Event Coverage

Tuner EVO SoCal 2018 | Event Coverage

One of the great things about living in Southern California and being an automotive enthusiasts is that there is always something car related to do every weekend. This weekend Abbitt hit us up to go check out Tuner Evolution which originated from the east coast. It was their first show in SoCal, so we wanted to see the difference between an east coast show and a west coast show.

Tune Evo was held at the famed Anaheim Convention Center. The parking is expensive and the workers suck here.

First thing we saw was this wide FRS on some equally wide 326 Power wheels.

This BN Sport S14 was my favorite car out of the whole show. Execution is flawless and you know I love red cars.

You already know it’s a new age car show when they have the RC drift car track set up.

Feeling this aggressive Subaru on Cosmis Racing wheels.

The rarest car at the show and in pristine condition is this Nissan Skyline Hakosuka. Nissan had so much style back then.

Spotted! You can get it here at shop.royal-origin.com.

Tuner Evo is known for having a mini concert at their shows. Xavier Wulf would be performing later on today.

So many things were going at this event like this break dancing competition which was pretty wild.

Loving the livery on this S2000.

Awesome mom starting the love for cars for her child early.

Karuma holding it down at Tuner Evo. Make sure you swing by ujidistribution.com for some gear!

That’s the rear end of my car!

    Anthony’s GS on Konig Monsters.

Love! love! The paint on this Miata and with such an aggressive aero setup to compliment the Work Meisters. Awesome execution.

Showing off the air jack and his big brake set up.

I’m surprised with all of this attention to detail, the owner of this car didn’t bedazzle the jack stands too.

Wow Tuner Evo even had a BMX competition going on..

    Wow.

Some things never change. Steve’s LS400 looking as good as always.

Tuner Evo is definitely a show to check out with the sick cars and various events going on. Non stop entertainment and a ton of sick cars. Hopefully I’ll be able to check out their east coast car shows one day.

Also wanted to post this photo of my wonderful meal after the Tuner Evo show. This is the shaken beef fries at Vox Kitchen. Until next time peeps!

  • Formula Drift Final Fight Irwindale 2015 | Coverage

Formula Drift Final Fight Irwindale 2015 | Coverage

About a week ago on October 11, 2015, the last Formula Drift of the year took place – the Final Fight in Irwindale. First off, it was probably one of the hottest events I’ve ever attended besides ones in Las Vegas. Ironically, it was about ten to fifteen degrees cooler that day in Las Vegas than Southern California, but despite the scorching temperatures, Formula Drift never failed to be an epic event – even the drivers were not phased with the two hundred-degree temperatures in their drift machines suited up – shit’s pretty fuckin’ gangster.

    Fredric Aasbo always killing’ it!

    Ma boy, Justin Pawlak!

    Zayuumn, Ken! Gotteeeem!

I’ve always loved Wang’s ride doe! Shit’s flames!

    Mad Mike’s MX-5 is straight-up FIRE!

Vaughn Gittin Jr. was performing some dope stunts in between eliminations in his Ecoboost F-150 with underglow and spark effects.

Top 16 got everyone screaming on their toes. Shit was gnarly, especially with the freshly altered course – there were a lot of accidents at the entry to the second bank. Ken Gushi went through some rough patches with a couple of engines, but still managed to “fuck shit up” – in a good way. As the night narrowed down during the top 16, everyone was hella stoked to see Aasbo, Gushi, and Wang place podium – congrats fellas!

    Top 3 Standings:

    1. Fredric Aasbo #151
    2. Kenshiro Gushi #21
    3. Forrest Wang #808

Aside from the main event, there was another life behind the k-rails and the grand stands. Hundreds of fans and enthusiasts roamed the vendor and show venue, making it almost easy to beat the heat! Let’s check out all the fuss at the Offset Kings venue.

    Mizzark’s E60 M5 bebeh!

    Hi Mizzark!

    Edgar’s Z32

    Yogi’s GS430

    Oh hai there Yogi!

Mikey’s Porsche with the ass shot!

Mikey on that hotline bling with Noel.

Noel on that hotline bling with Mikey. Lol.

Arm’s IS300 with his fresh Elixir front bumper. It’s a dream come true!

It was fun shooting on the track with Paulo. This foo comes out from Las Vegas every time to shoot for SouthrnFresh. You’s a trooper ma boy!

I can never get over this Tailored FD. This car actually won Offset Kings a couple years back at Formula Drift Irwindale, and it just never gets old.

    Hi Courtney “WING”field!

Dat Aimgain front end on the FR-S doe!

S14 Kouki with the Vertex Lang!

What do you feel about this Rocket Bunny flared RSX? Pretty insane in the membrane.

After shooting around the the car show, we headed back to home base at the Royal Origin booth to see how the crew is doing.

My zaughters Hayle and Vickie holdin’ it down at the booth.

They wanted Zaddy to be in the photo, so here I am!

Dem Derry Dexx holdin’ down the fort while Aye Ron’s trying to snapchat the one that got away.

Aww Jeff always sells them with his smile. Swapang talaga!

Got to meet this fine gal next door to us at the Chibi Cars booth. She’s the one behind all the cool artwork they had on display! She’s very talented and very bae. Nice meeting you, Stephanie.

    Bruno Mars be like, selfie!

Bruno’s “Aww shit I got got” pose. Lol.

Damn it, Vinh, you’re a little too tall, squat down a little for the picture please?

    Much better!

Looks like the booth was doing good and didn’t catch fire from all the heat that we dropped. So let’s take the crew over back to the Offset Kings venue to take a last look at my favorite part of the show, the Serial Nine guys from Canada.

    This “Seams” about right, YAHNAHMSAYIN?!

    It was LIT, fam!

Formula Drift Final Fight Irwindale 2015 was a jam-packed event just like every other FD there is. This Final Fight was one we will never forget. We also thank everyone that came by and showed us support. Even though this is our first event not showcasing any of our cars, it was still pretty LIT with all the homies. Just stay tuned to some of our builds during the next seasons – big thangs are going to be popping! ‘Til next time, folks!

  • EOS Showcase 2015 | Just Another Sinful Show

EOS Showcase 2015 | Just Another Sinful Show

I had the opportunity to attend EOS Showcase 2015 for the very first time this year. Just like going to any car show for the first time, you tend to expect the unexpected; however, having a show in Las Vegas is already expected to always be, for a lack of a better word, sinful. Well enough, after attending this non-profit-organization to help raise funds for student supplies in the campuses of South Las Vegas, it still never failed to be as sinful as anyone could expect. It was all located in a grass field at Veteran’s Memorial Park, in Boulder City, but I mean, come on, it is still Las Vegas grounds. It was one of the hottest events I’ve ever been to with 120+ degree heat waves, but when the sun set, the atmosphere became all GOOCHIE, and the guys from Lowballers, Low Motiv, VanKulture, and tons of other crews made sure the hospitality and the turnup remained trill af.

Tons of cool simple builds like this DC2 Integra. Fully stock with wheels and drop.

Jimmy the photo bomber always schoolin’ dem little boys on campus along with the rest of the VanKulture

Where in Cali or any other state do you see a beer pong table set up without security or the 5-0 getting all up in your face? – Only in the city of sin.

    There’s Jimmy the photo bomber!

This brings me back to the Manila vibes of car modding.

There were all kinds of light shows going on. That’s a great thing about night shows!

“$lopps? Where are you? Can you hear me? The bottle is almost done,” hollers Jeremy and Joe!

Jeremy and his fresh kicks! Fun fact: the Lexus SC430 is ranked Top 3 Most Gay Driven Vehicles. #lovewins

It was a pleasure meeting Abdul and his clean E39 540i from StanceBMW. Crazy how long you follow someone on IG and then getting to finally meet them in person.

Meanwhile, at the Lowballers tent, there goes Gino and Vince just being bullies.

“Aron, you’re next,” seduces Gino. Aron without hesitating responds, “Give it all to me baby! I’m ready! I got this!”

AYYEEE! Low ‘N Slow Crew up in the heezy!

Anthony’s R32 Sedan baby! Chivas asked him as he posed next to his car, “How do you visit the drive-thrus by yourself?” Anthony responds, “In reverse, BITCH!” And this is the face Chivas made.

Team Mansu in the heezy my pimpen’!

Hi Drew! I didn’t see you there!

After polishing a couple Hennessy bottles and a few keg-stands from Gino and Vince, Aron’s horny side goes from 0-100 real quick. Tell him to pose for the camera – I dare you.

Oh yeah, here’s Lance and Tracey, just being cute and normal. Fuckin’ Aye-ron!

Meawhile, Lance brings all the boys to the yard with his NSX sittin’ on TE37 Super Laps.

Damn it Jimmy! You got me again! Lol.

This CD5 was an interesting sight! Pinoy pride pare ko!

Food trucks were on sight too! I wanted to try a gyro but baby-gurl over there lookin’ at me all suspect. I’ll come back later when I’m not too turnt. Lol. But at the same time, Dre is lookin’ at me like…

A nice group of friends just doing HOODRATstuff with one another.

This is Britt. She a HOODRAT. Buh-leeh-dat!

Chris flexin’ to catch Britt’s attention. He ended up getting arrested instead for possession of illegal weapons on his arms.

Kyle hates how brutal the sun beats on his skin. But when the sun comes down, then the Kyle comes out at night. Everybody loves when the Kyle comes out at night.

DJ Koshi stuntin’ around his Kosh-rocket. Come hop on fellas!

Oh Chivas, you just know how to stare the clothes off of anyone you look at. Stop it! Actually, never mind – I kinda like it.

My all time favorite car of the show was uncle Ray’s four-door Integra. There’s a lot more behind this car than just the bling-bling you see.

Friends and family from all over help put in some time and effort into this build. This car has been inspired through not just the owner, but everyone else he put his trust into. When it all comes to fruition, you realize what an amazing image you and your homies brought to life – like this Chivas_Sunkist-inspired valve cover, to note one of many examples.

When uncle Ray would get home from work, his homies start hacking up the car – to note another example, the custom trimmed and diffused rear-end. It just look gangster AF. Everyone sure loves uncle Ray – I do too!

Chivas and Aron posing in front of Aron’s laid-out Y50 M35s. The grass seems to be higher than Aron’s car, or the car is lower than the grass? I don’t know anymore. Fuck it, more Hennessy for Aron!

Congrats to Vince and his crew So Proper for winning Best Crew Representation of the show!

Joe, in his IS250, is still waiting for $lopps…still waiting…

    Here’s Avelino’s TSX from Lower Klass…

…and here’s Avelino, Kyle, and Dre. Whatever else happened in Vegas that night will for sure stay in Vegas. So let us just wrap the coverage up here, shall we?

I just wanna thank the Lowballers fam for always providing us with the hospitality, love, and affection we need. Thank you Jay Lintao from Low Motiv for hosting a great event! Cheers to you bud for hosting yet another successful year of EOS Showcase for 2015. ‘Til next year!

  • AUTOCON LA 2014

    AUTOCON LA 2014

It’s crazy to think that the last time I was at Autocon was  3 years ago. Time flies by fast, one day you’re complaining about car shows the next day you’re helping host one. It has really changed my perspective of car shows and now I fully understand the stress and headaches of running a car show. I apologize for what I’ve said back in 2011 about this show. I was young, dumb and a wreckless keyboard warrior. Even though apologies are way too late now, I hope this picture of a sad chocolate Labrador will make up for it.

    cute-sad-puppy-face

The morning started like every other car show, early as fuck roll in. The process for check in was pretty quick and we got set up within 20 minutes of checking in.

Hundreds of cars were pouring in through this gate. I hate commenting on about cars because all I can really say is what kind of car it is and what wheels it has. So, I’ll just comment here and there if I really have something interesting to say.. which is never.

    2012 Forumla Drift/Slammed Society: Irwindale

On Saturday, October 13th, a majority of the Royal Origin guys including myself attended the 2012 Formula Drift: Title Fight event at the Irwindale Speedway.
