My favorite thing to do is be out in the wilderness where mass murderers and bears can come out to kill you without any way of calling for help because you know in all movies police or any government aid in the wilderness are pretty much useless. But for my wife’s happiness, I risked my safety and we planned a trip out to Zion National Park with Chivas, Shavi, Nimo, Derek, Polly, Angelo and Bonnie. Most of my photos will be covering the second day of the trip, since I wasn’t able to make it to the first day where everyone went off-roading.

    Zion | RO Offroad

It hasn’t been long since some of us have fallen in love with off-roading, which really compliments our love of all things car, and exploring the world we live in. So, we decided to plan a Friday to Sunday camping and off-roading trip to Zion National Park in Utah.  With Zion National Park only 2-3 hours away from Las Vegas, Nevada, and 6-7 hours away from Southern California; it was far enough to change the scenery dramatically. The first day was just filled with getting there, and setting up camp so we could off-road till the sunsets.

    Summer in Ghetto Valley

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to this corner of California. I used to swing by every other weekend just to sleep over and make shitty fried rice. Well, things change, people grow apart, and memories are just that…memories. So, it was cool to see some of the guys that I haven’t seen because of whatever they have going on in their lives. I forgot how much fun it was when we just hung out and did random shenanigans.

Wekfest LA 2012 Part 3 (Minh)

Here is the last part of our 3-part coverage of Wekfest. All I can say is that it was another successful show thrown by Weksos Industries. We usually don’t go out to shows and meets because we just see the same cars over and over and over again…not hating on the people that keep on coming back, but it’s just nice to see something different for a change. With that kind of thinking, I realized I had lost my way; I forgot that I didn’t go to car shows and meets just to show the world what I have been doing with my car. I also go to hang out with my friends, meet new people, and make bigger connections. I hope I don’t forget that again in the future. I’m going to just leave you guys with some photos that I shot for all the homies and future friends of Royal Origin that attended Wekfest. Enjoy!

    BabyStacks Cafe

During our trip in Vegas, the Royal Origin and Lowballers fam wanted to gather up for some breakfast. We planned the night before that we would go BabyStacks Cafe, previously known as BabyCakes. Well actually, we had pretty much made it a plan to go to BabyStacks way before the Vegas trip. This was my first time (Vinh) in Las Vegas with everyone, so I was probably the only one who hasn’t had the opportunity to enjoy their bomb breakfast foods. Everyone always talked about how awesome their red velvet pancakes are. I had some pretty high expectations coming in for breakfast and I wasn’t disappointed one bit. It was amazingly life changing; I will never look at ordinary pancakes the same. A must-have if you’re ever in the area. Haha, sorry for my Yelp Review, now let’s see some photos.

Everyone starting to show up at BabyStacks.

    Journey to Vegas

For the Low Ballers x Royal Origin 2 Year Anniversary, the Royal Origin gang made a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada to hang out with our lovers, the Lowballers. We basically had three separate caravans going on. Some of us left Thursday evening, some left Friday morning (including myself), and the rest left Friday afternoon. I was pretty bummed out that I wasn’t able to bring my car; I had just gotten it back from the shop after some expensiveass electrical issues. I was trying to get it ready, but there wasn’t enough time to prepare. Oh well, enough of my venting and onto some pictures…

  • SUBIE SUBIE VROOM

    SUBIE SUBIE VROOM

Today was planned out like any other Wednesday. Head off to school bright and early in the morning, meet up with Bonnie after school to grab a bite to eat, and then head off to Disneyland, but today involved a different turn of events. Bonnie had work at 5P.M. today, so we decided to cancel our Disneyland trip and do something else instead. We gave my good friend Dennis a visit at his work place. Dennis works at Performance Nissan in the City of Industry. We met about a year ago through Team Supastar. From that point on, we became really good friends.

Dennis drives a 2002 Subaru WRX. He recently told me that he purchased a new set of wheels for his car, so I got really excited after hearing that. Dennis has gone through many different sets of wheels, from ROTAS to ADVANS to WORKS. This time around, Dennis went with SSR and to be more specific, he purchased  a set of SSR GPO’S. Now, I know what everyone is thinking, “WHERE IN THE WORLD DID HE FIND A SQUARE SETUP OF THAT TYPE OF WHEEL?!” Wrong!! Dennis decided to go outside of the box and run a staggered set of wheels on his All Wheel Drive Subie. Now, all of you are probably thinking, “OHH MAN, HE IS GOING TO FUCK UP HIS TRANNY!” Wrong again!!! Dennis has everything planned out. He is going to make his staggered setup run perfectly fine on his Subaru. We’re all going to take a real quick Subie lesson. So, what destroys the transmission on a Subie when running a staggered setup is tire sizing. One tire ends up spinning earlier than the other because of the difference in diameter sizing. So what Dennis has planned is to carefully calculate the correct tire size so that all four wheels have the exact same diameter for all four wheels to spin at the exact same time. Just in case that plan fails and somehow ends up ruining his transmission, Dennis still has another plan up his sleeve. He has an extra transmission laying around at home, so if his current one breaks, he is ready to replace it with a new one. The plan doesn’t stop there. If Dennis’ transmission decides to break, he is already planning to do a Rear Wheel Drive conversion with the other transmission, so his staggered setup will definitely work on the car.

Now that everyone knows a little something about Dennis and his car, we can move on to the pictures.

    Last Minhute IS300

I put the IS300 together real quick with the help of Angelo and David. I swear, whenever anyone needs to slam their cars to the ground, we end up doing it at Angelo’s house. Thanks, David, for letting me borrow the wheels, and Brandon, for the grille. Putting this together was just for fun.

Wish I could’ve gotten a front lip for it and fixed the bumper before I took these photos.
