Cars and Coffee by The Chronicles | Event Coverage

Joey from The Chronicles invited us to a private little morning car meet at his shop, we thought we were pretty special until he posted the flyer for the public. Either way we were gonna come out to support and I was planning to take my own car, but found out the morning of someone tried to jack my wheels because two of my lug studs were broken off. A thief wasn’t going to deter me from attending the meet, luckily everyone had planned to meet at my house, so I was able to get a ride.

We have to start this post with Joey’s famous Mode Parfume Q45 kitted Work Meisters M1.

    Ryan’s super clean E30 on Volk TE-37s.

Usually double parking isn’t cool, but when you have a sick ass Integra, it’s cool.

This cars and coffee is a lot better than the one in South OC because all cars are welcomed and it starts at 8AM.

Red looks so good in overcast weather and it looks even better when it’s on a NSX on Mugen MF10s.

A lot of tastefully done Hondas this morning. It’s expected when you’re going to a Chronicle’s meet.

Miguel’s bran new Civic already with cut springs and baseball bat rolled fenders. #HOODRATstuff

    John’s Corvette on Forgestars.

Ashton’s Pandem E36 on his new set of customWork Meisters.

Our favorite at the meet was this TSX on Volk ZE40s. It’s just really tastefully done.

We would have loved to see John and this Supra go do some high way pulls.

Thanks Joey for the water and the good times! We hope there will be a Cars and Coffee 2!

Wekfest San Jose Roll Out 2018 | Event Coverage

Check out some of the roll out photos I took, hopefully I was able to get a shot of your car!

    ~BONUS ROUND~

When everyone thought the roll out was done, I went back in and found a bunch of cars that still didn’t leave yet (mostly PURE VIP). It made for some good photos since it was a lot easier to take photos of their cars without all the spectators. Enjoy!

Wekfest San Jose 2018 | Event Coverage

Wekfest San Jose, the super bowl of car shows. The car show people from other states come to show at and even other countries. It’s been a while since the last time we were up here for this show and I was lucky my wife wanted to get out of town and what better way to trick someone to go to a car show than telling them we’re going to San Jose for a mini vacay.

The quality of car builds is the reason why it’s the super bowl of car shows. Check out this wide body Ferrari from Endless Projects.

A ton of car enthusiasts both young and old here to touch their favorite cars.

Kevin miraculously made it with his EK after having some issues the night before roll-in.

Last minute addition to the Greddy Performance line up is Nimo’s Civic.

E60 Daddy’s freshly finished metal widebody. Killing the BMW VIP game.

Old & New kited Porsche on RVL wheels.

Have you guys seen the meme about the “Okay” sign being a symbol for “white power”? Well Pandem is all about it.

I will never get over the look of a RWB Porsche.

    Thanks for the support!

Karuma out here slanging some heat.

    Taylor and Kevin.

    Adry and Nimo.

    Damn hella low.

Sick R33 even though it’s pink.

When a crew lines up your dream car like a dealership display. NSXs in all sorts of packages.

The best finish for any type of wheel. SBC.

    Findingnimo and E60daddy.

Everyone thought this Type R Civic was Nimo’s car.

Too be honest, I didn’t even notice this truck was inside the convention center. Holy crap.

It was nice to come back to Wekfest after the hiatus. It made me miss making the journey up here. Maybe we’ll be back soon with all of our cars.. Check out the roll out footage in our next post!

Wekfest Prep at Greddy Racing | Daily Life

These days it’s rare that you will catch us preparing for a car show with the balance of adulting and trying to stay alive in this economy, none of us ever have time to get a car ready for a show. Luckily for us we can live vicariously through Kevin’s new Honda Civic EK build. Kevin’s been putting this baby together since the beginning of the year and building his EG from the ground up. Stripped the car completely, got major body work done and swaped almost ever single piece of the car out that was welded to the car itself.

We were able to swing by to catch the Greddy Team fitting his new B16 motor in along with the shiny new toys.

Check and double check to figure out clearance for the intake.

Coming to a Wekfest near you..

The cool thing about swinging by Greddy is we get a glimpse of the show winning cars they build before it gets the Greddy touch. This RX-7 is getting build for Kei Muira of Rocket Bunny for SEMA. I can’t wait to see what they do to it!

Some very nice cars out in the parking lot.

We had OC Tan in the house, looking pretty so Kevin could feel more relaxed when something doesn’t go right with the EK.

Meanwhile at home… some one buy me already!

Karuma x Musubi Monster | Event Coverage

I was already heading out to get some musubis and I happened to stumble upon the Karuma x Musubi Monster meet. No one invited me, but I’m out here baby! Here are some photos I captured of the event..

A nice line up of VIP cars in front of Musubi Monster.

Taylor switched out the Rotiform for some mint TE37s.

VIP style S14 from PURE VIP.

When your dad comes to your meet to flex on your friends.

    Taylor’s dad is a baddie.

Speaking of baddies, Adry was out here stuntin’ wit his wide body IS350 on Work Meisters,

More cars started to over flow the parking lot.

    Bomb spam and eggs musubi.

It started to look like the 405 freeway during rush hour.

    Sick pair of IS300s.

Love the fitment on this IS300 with the Blitz 03 wheels.

    Beautiful Varis GTR on TE-37s.

Phat brought the Cayman out to play. Still on expired tags..

    John’s Corvette now on Forgestars.

After the meet, we met up with Abbitt, Krstina, Erick and Janice at Crawfish Cave for some shrimps.

Always eat craw fish with gloves.

That’s it for the meet coverage! Shout out to Karuma and Musubi Monster for throwing a chill meet! Make sure you shop.royal-origin.com before it’s all gone.

Family Time Update | Daily Life

Seems like every post now a days is a “it’s been a while kind of post”. Sad to say that I rarely have time to shoot photos or even go do cool shit anymore. I do have some photos from these past months that I’ve been meaning to post. So, here are some quick updates..

We had a birthday brunch for John, Ashton and Angelo at EMC Seafood. On Sundays they have all you can eat seafood buffet which includes lobster tails, prime rib and unlimited mimosas.

Shavi looking real excited to destroy his stomach and liver.

    Good times with good people.

Happy Birthday to John, Angelo and Ashton! Wishing you wealth, success and more car parts.

The following week, I went to LA to go see Sleeping Beauty ballet because Julia gets what she wants. We decided to get dinner at Pasta E Pasta for some Japanese style pasta.

    Julia got the Japanese pasta.

I got my favorite which is a carbonara pasta. I wish they added a egg like they would in Japan.

    It was still extremely delicious.

Afterwards we went to get this ice cream taiyaki because we were craving Somi Somi. It did not satisfy our craving..

When I got home.. Sara, Nimo, Rodney and Vu hit me up to go hang out at Zero Degrees. Here are the condiments of Honda. Mustard, Ketchup and Pepper.

Sara’s S2000 always looking hella sponsored.

Rodney brought out the Cressida even after destroying his bumper at Super D.

    Vuzoku.

    Rod knee.

    Finding nimo.

    VPR CHICK.

Bonus round… some photos of Annie, a chow chow I was fostering until she got adopted by a family in Wyoming. Man, I miss her and I miss blogging, so hopefully I get back to this and we’ll have more quality posts. Thanks for reading and we’ll see you next time.

    Super D | Event Coverage

Super D Matsuri has been one of the events I”ve been wanting to go for a long time. It’s a two day grass roots drifting event where you can bring your car to shred it with Naoki Nakamura and Miki Takagi from team Pink Style. The stars finally aligned where I was able to attend this meet and I couldn’t wait to see where America meets Japan in drifting.

When we arrived, we were instantly smacked with a plethora of stylish cars.

Love that cars here drift so low like this Miata from Team Gleam.

Our friend Derek was shredding it.

    No competition, just fun.

Finally got to see Auto Factory Realize’s cars in person. They even have a matching tent!

Man this widebody S13 vert looked so sick.

Rodney had already lost some style points and wrecked his bumper before we got there.

Seeing a clean S13 was a rarity here.

Team Storm making people green with envy.

Mike’s freshly painted IS300, too bad Grange was hella dusty.

    Beast.

    Palmer’s awesome driving machine.

I finally got into the groove of shooting moving cars and came out with some pretty good shots.

Shout out to Roxy for making me a sandwich!

    DK being DK.

AJ’s IS300, sadly we didn’t get to see him in action because the car was having some engine troubles. It still looked good in the paddock tho!

    Ready for action.

If there’s no grass in the field, play in the dirt!

I hope you enjoyed the photos! Next time I’ll get a media vest, so I don’t just stay stagnant in one position.

Uji Distribution Visit | Car Feature

I finally had time to go out to Uji Distribution to shoot their jaw droppin’ LS’s. Uji Distribution are the same people who run Karuma and you may recognize these LS’s because they used to be owned by our friend’s Kevin and Steven. The new owners, Taylor and Paul have updated the look and made it their own style.

This LS now belongs to Paul who revamped the look with new OZ Futuras and a more sparkly paint job.

    Taylor’s LS400 on Rotiform ROC.

Adry came by with his Clinched IS250 now on Work Meisters.

Andy’s GS bagged on 305 Forged Wheels.

Took “Big Bertha” down the street for some spotlight shots.

    That booty is on fire..

A change of scenery was acquired real quick just driving 3 minutes out of Taylor’s street. The green hills looked amazing for a nice background.

Taylor’s homie can by in his sick S14.

Ending it with some sick rollers of Taylor’s LS, wish we got some better ones at higher speed and a better background. Maybe next time.. and make sure you check out ujidistribution.com.

Royal Origin x Lowballers Car Meet | Event Coverage

10 years of love. Love for cars, love for photography and love for friends. Royal Origin was founded in 2008 and even though we haven’t done a meet in a while, we thought it would be cool to throw one for our 10 year anniversary. You already know we had to do it in Vegas, where all the memories and friendships began. To start the morning, we did a quick wash before we headed out to the meet with Jaycray’s Pandem RC.

When we got to the meet, it was already packed to the brim. We couldn’t even park our own cars next to each other, but we were glad there was a big showing.

The fitment, the stance and the wheels are all on point with this S13.

    Rodney’s Cressida.

Lance’s immaculate NSX on Work Meisters.

The Karuma gang was out in full force with their trio of sick cars.

I finally got to see Ian’s Corolla and it was not a disappointment.

Someone brought another Cressida to show Rodney how it should be done.

You know you’re rich when you can floss every part of your car.

A line of cars that cost more than the whole parking lot.

Nimo ended up cutting his springs and putting these wheels on just for the meet. He even cut his Tein springs for more low. Nimo is always going to be a HOODRAT.

Chivas, the leader of the RO OFF-road crew.

Chris representing RO in Vegas with his Chrysler 300.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support! A big thanks to the Lowballers for collaborating with us! We’ll see you guys next time!

Cleopatra’s Final Form | Car Feature

Louie hit me up to give my IS250 aka “Cleopatra”, her last shoot because he saw on my Instagram that I was selling her. I’ve always been a fan of Louie’s light painting photography and was stoked that he offered to shoot it. Good thing I don’t have a job because we were able to plan a shoot pretty quick. We decided to meet in Seal Beach where almost all of SoCal goes there for a photo shoot.

    Louie’s sick Miata.

    Such clean body lines.

Coincidentally we ran into other enthusiasts trying to get some photos in before the sun came down.

    Awesome EVO..

Had to get some shots in of my own car, but this lady was in the shot the whole time. She’s a professional photo bomber.

After everyone left, Louie did his thing and light painted my car like a french girl. We thought the shots were so awesome in it’s raw form that we wanted to see if Elvis would feature it on Stance Nation and to his kindness he did!

Please check out the feature on Stance Nation here shot by Louie(@lmphotos)..
