    Mini Vinh

Our good friend Syo Kuwabara from Niigata, Japan has always been making incredible scale models, either based on real-life cars or creations that are original. This time, he made one that hits us at home with this 1:24 scale model of Vinh Luong’s Subaru STi on Work CR-Kai. You can see the time and effort Kuwabara put into it to get it just right.

You probably thought this was a real car for a very brief moment.

Even down to the very kit that Vinh is on is pretty accurate!

Rear shot with the exhaust. Such beautiful work.

This 1:24 scale model even has great fitment.

Hope you guys enjoyed this scale model, because we love scale models. Thank you very much, Kuwabara, for taking the time and effort to make this and even send us the shots. I know you made this for yourself because you love it, so thank you for the love.

    Kids Being Kids

This past Thursday, I got a tip from a friend that Mr. Chris Foreman just got new wheels for his Z. After class, I rushed over to Ladera Ranch to see these bad boys in person for the first time. When we arrived, Chris had already begun to adjust his car to fit his impossibly wide setup. Full feature soon when his car is cleaned up and dialed in.

It was the day of the monthly Thursday night Euro meet down at the Laguna Hills Mall, so Chris was anxiously getting everything ready for the meet.

    Unusual Underground

Welcome to the GG Underground, a place for Royal Origin and friends to go to when we want to relax after enjoying a day with each other, and just want to shoot some cars to end the night. We met up with Chris Foreman and his friends from Ladera Ranch, and Jomar and Josh from Temecula/Murrieta at our favorite place, Tastea, before heading to our late night spot. Check out my video below and our pictures from that night.

CRZ surprisingly had enough room in the trunk for two people to play cards in it.

  • Cruising Out The Weekend

    Cruising Out The Weekend

Last Sunday, I woke up to a bright warm sunny afternoon. Now usually on Sunday for most people, there isn’t much to do. Some people go to church, some people run errands for the following week, and some people, like in my case, find themselves recovering from the previous night. The weather was so nice that I couldn’t see myself being a couch potato at home, so I called up a couple of local buddies from Team Tochigi and we decided to go cruise around  and soak in the awesome weather.

Like every other day that I hang out with these guys, we started our day by meeting up at Diamond Jamboree for a quick boba run at Lollicup.

    Balboa Chillin’

This will be my little introduction here on Royal Origin. Over the weekend, a couple of my friends and I went out on a little adventure to try and look for some places to shoot at. We tried to stay away from those traditional parking structures that everyone seems to choose as their default location for night shoots. We tried some locations around the Newport area, and came up with some spots near Fashion Island.

Here is Chris super slammed Nissan 350z. Many of you will think “wow, that car must ride like shit at that height.” Surprisingly, the ride on this Z is probably the most comfortable ride I’ve ever felt in any slammed car that sits as low as this does.

His car is still a work in progress and you guys should definitely keep an eye out on his car in the near future.

    Random Sightings at Rotiform

Went to Rotiform once again, but this time to pick up a few items that were completed for me from when I dropped by last time. Most likely, be here a few more times in the next month or so.

Check out the last time I went to Rotiform here: Visiting Rotiform

This is what the Rotiform work station and some of the warehouse shelves look like as you take a walk inside. And here are some random sightings on a few items laying about the warehouse either to be sent out or completed for the future happy customers.

  • See You at WekFest SF 2012!

See You at WekFest SF 2012!

Royal Origin will be making a trip out to San Francisco for Wekfest this year. We aren’t exactly taking all our cars there, but just enjoying a little trip out of Southern California to visit our brothers and sister of the North, and those coming in from all over the world for this one.

These are some of the places that we will be visiting or at least plan on visiting as we approach our final destination are the following:

    1. Fatlace Paddock – San Mateo, CA

    2. RWB USA Headquarters – San Mateo, CA

    3. Canibeat Pre-Wekfest Meet – Fremont, CA

    4. TBA

If you meet any of us, be sure to say “hi”, and ask about our Royal Origin stickers we will be carrying with us, cause you could get some for free. We are pretty excited as for some of us going this will be our first time at the original San Francisco edition Wekfest (even though this is the alternate location now). So, we hope everyone else is as excited as we are.

  • Visiting Rotiform

    Visiting Rotiform

So I randomly dropped by Rotiform in Westminster, California to start on one of my newer projects and discuss some plans with them. And as always it was a treat visiting the facility and seeing what was laying around. Nothing but the best here.
