I went out with Kevin aka KCHOW510 to shoot my IS250. We were planning to shoot earlier that day, but we both needed a afternoon nap. The IS250 hasn’t changed in a bit besides stuff getting broken, wheels getting curbed and a headlight bulb going out. I’m planning to do an updated look on the IS250 soon, so this photo shoot came just in time. Even though Kevin was the one that wanted to shoot my car, I ended up taking my camera out to get some photos too. I’ve learned from going with people to shoot my car that sometimes the photographer will not come through with the photos. Kevin didn’t get any photos from our last photo shoot, but this time he delivered. Thanks Kevin!

The bosses over at 714 Tires recently purchased a Ferrari 360 and since I had to pick one of them up for work the next day he let me use the Ferrari for one night. The Ferrari was an impulse buy because it was so cheap, but now all it does is sit in the garage at 714 Tires.

I recently sold my Sony A7II to upgrade to the new Sony A7SII, but my guy has taken forever to get it for me. So this is my life, living with no camera and using a Go Pro as my tool for blogging.
The other night we went to Churro Burrough for the bomb churro ice cream sandwiches! Here’s a shot of Mikey’s 911.I wish I was able to bring my car out to shoot that night, but my IS250 has been in maintenance mode. One of my favorite things to do is my oil change because right after I can feel a big difference in how my car runs. I decided to switch things up and go with Pro-Maxx fully synthetic oil. I really like the design of the bottle, it just gives you a good feeling in your hands when you’re pouring out the oil. You should definitely try this oil on your next change!My other maintenance problem was my air suspension. Recently, both of my front air bags ripped while I was driving and completely aired out on the street. Luckily I was able to drive it home aired out, I guess the positive of this situation is now I know I can drive my car fully dumped to the ground. I got some big plans for my IS250 and will be updating about it in my next post.. Hopefully, I’ll have a camera by then..

I’ve been wanting to go out to take photos of stars for the longest time. Hanging out in Jordan’s neighborhood gave me the motivation because Villa Park neighborhoods are pitch black with no street lights. Perfect for star gazing.

After some failed attempts to take photos of the stars, we decided that it would be fun to try to light paint. Of course, we never come prepared, so we had to figure out some hoodratstuff.
We had the power of two IPhone 5S with 11%-30% battery life to help us light paint some cars. Even though the first couple of trials gave us some horrendous outcomes, we finally got it together in the next couple of shots.
Pretty good I do say so myself for someone who can’t afford lighting equipment and never really light painted.
For some reason, we thought it would be funny to shoot this photo. JDM sideways parked trashcans are cool right?
Went down the street and just light painted anything that had wheels on it including Shavi’s daily M30. This car has some crazy stuff coming soon and I’m glad that Shavi will use this photo for transformation Tuesdays one day.
Next car was Jordan’s dad’s Mercedes, Jordan sent this photo to his dad and his dad didn’t even recognize his own car and said it was a pretty nice Mercedes.
Derek’s car was probably the worst car to light paint with it. The black adsorbed all of the light lines and that shit took forever to photoshop out.

Things have been pretty busy around here, we’ve been planning future events and future moves for 2015. It’s been a little stressful, but we still managed to plan a meet with Air Runner and still drop our holiday HOODRATstuff line which you can now buy on our online shop. Sorry to everyone who didn’t get the time change, when we planned this meet a month ago we didn’t account for day light savings time to be in effect. So, we moved the time an hour earlier and ended the meet when it got dark. Still.. thanks to everyone who came out to hang! It seemed like everyone was doing “hoodrat stuff” left and right at the meet if you know what I mean..

Last Sunday, we ventured out to City of Industry to celebrate the 88 Rotors 10 Year Anniversary Meet at MRR Wheels. That’s a pretty impressive feat to be in the industry for 10 years and still doing well. 88 Rotors pulled out all the stops for this meet, they had free tacos, bacon wrapped hot dogs served for free, giveaways including an IPhone 6 and a Go Pro Hero 4 and awards for a free car meet. The turnout for this meet was crazy and was already filled up before we even arrived.

It’s crazy how just a simple piece of machinery can create amazing friendships. Most of the people in today’s post are dear friends of mine that I had an amazing opportunity to meet through our love for cars. Others I knew before cars, but having the same hobby solidified our friendship even more. In today’s post, Kazuki shot my car for an upcoming feature in a Japanese magazine(not sure which one) and we had the beautiful Hayle aka legs for days model for us. I wanted to rep for my city so we did the shoot on Main Street Garden Grove.

We were putting in some work the other night at the Boss Company garage. Late nights spent working on cars and talking shit is what I live for. Four years ago, I was here installing coilovers for the first time on my IS300, and here I am four years later still doing the same shit with the same people. Only now, we know what we’re actually doing (kind of) and not just throwing shit on our cars hoping it will fit.
Spare parts and messy tools seems to be a common theme at every garage I go to.
