    SHUTTER SPACE | EVENT COVERAGE

Every year Toyo Tires hosts a photography gallery event called “Shutter Space”, where they show some of the best automotive photography. The event happened to be down the street from where I live, so me and some of the boys decided to come and check it out.

The parking lot was already packed with sick cars.

    Steven’s

    Rodney’s wack Cressida.

    The gallery was poppin’.

    Phaze 2 out in front.

Spotted Louie’s Miata on the way to my car. So clean!

An even crazier FD hidden away in the huge parking lot.

Ending it with this crazy cambered Z3. Thanks for visiting!

    Zion | RO Offroad

It hasn’t been long since some of us have fallen in love with off-roading, which really compliments our love of all things car, and exploring the world we live in. So, we decided to plan a Friday to Sunday camping and off-roading trip to Zion National Park in Utah.  With Zion National Park only 2-3 hours away from Las Vegas, Nevada, and 6-7 hours away from Southern California; it was far enough to change the scenery dramatically. The first day was just filled with getting there, and setting up camp so we could off-road till the sunsets.

Sushi with John and Ashton | Taurus Birthdays

It’s always fun when there’s a birthday party, especially when people actually care about these people and come out to celebrate. It was Ashton, John and Angelo’s birthdays and we decided to go to Sake 2 Me for their dinner. Angelo couldn’t make it, so we celebrated his birthday in spirit for him.

    Night Fun | RO Drift

I’ve always wanted to learn how to drift my SC, but I never had a push to go out and try. Recently, my friend Brandon started to come around and convinced me to take my SC out to the mountains with him to learn how to slide it.

    The Track Burnaz | HOODRATstuff

As some of you may know, Derek aka “DUKDIKZ” made a career choice to go into the music industry. He got his shit together, went to the Musicians Institute in LA and recently, he got an internship with Rodney Jerkins. Derek got a chance to be the main sound engineer for The Track Burnaz and upcoming producing group from Miami. They saw Derek wearing the HOODRATstuff gear and thought it would be a great idea to collaborate with us. Derek set it up so we could meet at the studio and discuss the collaboration.

    DSC02584

Derek’s GS300 is still intact even after living in LA for the past year. Amazing what air ride could do for a car.

The Track Burnaz and DB just recently released a song together that they made the day we met. Check it out here..

Customizing with Rhino | Car Nights

Lately, I’ve been spending most of my time at Rhino Customs where Rodney works. We’ve been doing small stuff to my IS, so it could look presentable. Rodney has helped me mount tires, install bumpers, grills, headlights and so much more. Thanks Rodney for all the help! Building a car really does bring friends together.

    547

I thought it would be cool to do some light painting in the shop, little did I know I really suck at light painting.

    582

We also spent some time putting each other’s cars together. Like installing Abbitt’s lift for his truck.
