Stick Em Up | Shop Royal Origin

I just felt like taking some photos of our stickers for the online store and thought I share it here because the colors in these stickers are so awesome.

Gold leaf with our Cursive HOODRATstuff.

The dual layer HOODRATstuff script sticker. Only a few left!

The ever so popular license plate. We re-stocked it with 4 different colors; gold chrome, chrome, white and brushed silver.

Thank you for all the support!

Hauser & Wirth Art Installations by Jason Rhoades | RO Explore

I took my wife to the Jason Rhoades’s art installation that I’ve been seeing on Instagram. Coincidentally I hit the right date to take her because it happened to be our anniversary.

The first installation we went to had a bunch of neon signs with sex terms in every language and beds that look like there was some rough sex going on.

Cups made in the shape of breasts to drink your milk out of.

    Happy Anniversary love.

In another room there was a slide show that went on in a loop.

This next installation was a big of a mind boggler. The description said it was about how the mind works from the train of thought to the layers of the brain.

Another room full of neon signs even more intense than the one before.

The most beautiful art piece here.

We got ice cream before lunch from Salt and Straw because we’re adults.

After ice cream we went to Urth Caffe where we had our first date.

    Got this beautiful matcha tiramisu.

I love the way she drinks her coffee.

and when she gets excited about dessert.

Sunrise Pizza which was really good.

Thank you for moving to California for me.

It’s a great feeling to come home to a beautiful car. Damn my SC has never looked so good. Thanks Jason for all the help!

Street Slickers Meet Up | Event Coverage

I’ve been itching to drive the SC around since the last time I took it to the IDL Design opening and coincidentally, Shavi happened to hit me up to check out this car meet by Street Slickers. The best part about this meet that it was just down the street from my house and it was Kups one of my favorite spots for italian ice cream.

There was a grip of S13s that showed up, all of them with their own unique styling.

A pair of clean S13 coupes with Enkei Rpf1s and Work Emotion D9R.

Shavi brought out the M30 for me to take it into 714 Tires tomorrow for an alignment. This thing is too ridiculous for me, it scrapes on everything.

This meet had a little bit of everything from VIP to off road trucks.

An old school Toyota Corona with a SR swap. Pretty awesome.

    Itasha to off road.

Sweet 86, I’m digging the livery.

    Hong’s S13 on Enekei RPF1s.

Boso style Nissan Maxima with a crazy tall exhaust.

    Shavi approves of this exhaust.

Man I should’ve washed the SC before coming out.

Jun’s new Yaris and the reason why he’s selling his ISF.

Todd’s Passatt. Love the polka dot vinyl job. Shout out to Street Slickers for the stickers and I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

Skyline Syndicate Launch Meet | Event Coverage

Skyline Syndicate is a brand for Skyline enthusiasts and fans of the GTR heritage. Skyline Syndicate decided to throw a car meet for their launch and because some of the members of the brand are good friends of ours, we came by to support and to check out some sweet Skylines.

As soon as we arrived, police officers were telling everyone what was illegal on their cars. All in good fun though.. I hope.

Triplets. It’s great that America can see more Skylines on the road.

Aggressive R35 on Advan GT wheels.

    Old school beauty.

    Lerry’s R32 GTR on TE-37s.

Jay’s S2000 on Volk RE30s and a drug deal going on his trunk.

Make sure you check out Skyline Syndicate if you’re in love with Skylines just as much as they are!

IDL Design USA Grand Opening | Event Coverage

Last week was the IDL Design USA grand opening and we had to come out and support the homies over at Phaze 2. When we entered the meet, it was already packed as hell and parking went at least two blocks.

All quality cars here in front of IDL Design.

Beautiful McClaren owned by Scott from Afters Ice Cream.

    Supra beauties.

Phat’s trying to figure out this off-roading language.

    90’s forever.

Jerald with his new hobby as a videographer. He’s already making killer videos.

    Clean ass fucking Miata.

    Phaze 2 inside gallery.

    The original internet breaker.

    The second coming.

Afterwards, we headed out to El Monte for some tacos recommended by Andy. We spotted Jimmy from Royal Flush passing by.

    Royal Origin in a nutshell.

From slamgelo to off road king, Angelo has been driving so low for so long now, he doesn’t want to angle over anything.

Roasted duck tacos! This place is the real deal and is a must try. Too bad I forgot the name of the place…. Or maybe I’m just trying to keep it a secret, so it doesn’t get crowded.

Congrats IDL Design USA! Thanks for having us and we hope for you guys future success!

Wonderful Goodbyes | Family Time is The Best Time

As some of you may know, my boy Vinh Nguyen aka Big Vinh is getting married this year. It was a mix of happy and sad feelings I had when I found out this news. Happy he found someone to love and sad that he’ll be moving away to North Carolina to be with her. His sister put together a little going away party for him and all the homies came through for one last “LET’S DRINK!!”

Some of these guys I haven’t seen in years. Crazy how life fast forwards so quick.

    The funniest Filipino I know.

    Shavi approved.

Linda was a stage 4 clinger on Vinh all night.

    The Lorna street family.

    Vaqueros.

    North Dakotans.

Take care of this troll. Thanks Cindy.

    “I love you guys man”

Nimo arrived all late and shit, but it’s cool because he was rocking authentic Phat Farm gear.

And he rolled up with this.

GoodbyeVinh and good luck with your life in North Carolina. We’re going to miss hanging out in your garage, getting our air fixed by you, being able to call you for Homie AAA and all of the times you trolled the fuck out of us. There’s no one like you, a big guy with an even bigger heart. Thanks for always being there. I am glad though, because we won’t be over ordering anymore when we go to all you can eat restaurants. Also can you face time us just like the way you did for Cindy in North Carolina?

    LA Lights | RO Explore

Ever since I’ve had good melt off the spoon brisket, I’ve been wanting more and better tasting brisket. Shavi said Bludso’s BBQ made the best brisket he’s ever had in his life, so we decided to head out to LA. Abbitt and Krstina came along to see if it even comes close to Texas BBQ.

    Anti Abbitt Abbitt Club.

    Foodgasm.

It’s crazy when you’ve had something and you thought it was the best ever and then something else tops it. This is what Bludso’s BBQ did for me. What a life. I can’t wait to try some Texas BBQ in June. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Kyren getting real nice with a strand of meat.

We are releasing a new HOODRATstuff slap. The black glitter slap is available at shop.royal-origin.com.

    There’s always room for dessert.

When you walk in the club in unison with your squad.

Who makes eating dessert look the best?

After dessert, I wanted to do a shoot at the high way pass that over looks the freeway. Abbitt trying to show Krstina something related to stickers probably.

    That leg lift.

You find love in strange places.

    Krstina has content.

We were close to the US Bank tower sky space, so we decided to go ahead and check it out. Abbitt living in the moment of a moment.

    Krstina has more content.

Whenever I’m high up like this, I just think all the problems we stress about are just so small when you look at the big picture. Maybe you just have to live for the small things like the feeling you get when you bite into a piece of brisket or laughing so hard that you accidentally fart and make all your friends smell it in the backseat. Maybe those feelings are the only things that matter at the end of the day.

We all got a lot of content on this trip, but Krstina especially.

    What a life.

  • South Japan Visit | RO Explore

South Japan Visit | RO Explore

Every time I visit Japan, I always plan a day trip somewhere in South Japan. Sometimes to hang out with Ty from Hectopascal in Osaka or go see some cool shit in Kyoto. This time however, the sole purpose of going down to Osaka was to get Kobe beef! Like all day trips, we took the first train down to Kyoto from Tokyo just so we could get the maximum amount of time to do everything we planned.

Early mornings with a mix of boy band and a GAP commercial shoot poses by Anthony, Paul and Taylor.

First stop was the Arashiyama bamboo forest. I always forget to go here when I’m in Kyoto and I’ve been in Kyoto like four times.

This place looks bigger in photos than real life. It’s still a must visit when you’re in Kyoto.

    The sqaud.

Amazing how we were able to hide all the people in the background.

This is a famous bridge. I don’t know why, but it is.

Soft serve ice cream for breakfast.

From Kyoto we traveled to Osaka and visited Shinsaibashi to find our Kobe beef restaurant.

Love the vibes this place gives me.

Abbitt ready to be filled with takoyaki and meat.

I love those moments where you share new experiences with friends even if it is just trying some octopus balls in Osaka.

Detective Rica was able to find the restaurant that I went to two years ago with Ross just by looking at a photo that I took of the food.

That top plate is Kobe beef! 75,000 yen or $75 USD for five pieces.

We got an assorted orders of A5 waygu steak and some beef tongue before eating the Kobe beef.

Shout out to Ryo for spending his day off with us! It was such a great experience to eat this delicious meat with close friends. Afterwards, we just took the long train back to Tokyo and then the airport.

Before we got on the plane, we decided to try out this sushi spot in the airport. Sushi Kyotatsu, was by far the best sushi I’ve ever had. A must try when you’re leaving back home and you’re in Narita Airport.

Thank you to everyone who made our time in Japan especially wonderful. Thanks for all the sticker trades and rides back to our Airbnb! We’ll see you guys again next year!

Explore Tokyo Again | RO Explore

I’ve been to Japan so many times that I felt like there was nothing left to do. This trip showed me that there was so much I haven’t done yet. We met up with Sara, Diana, Alex and Ty in Shibuya for breakfast.

Enjoying ramen in a tiny restaurant is so Japan.

If you like bean sprouts, then you’ll love this ramen…

Caught the perfect lighting with Sara in Harajuku.

Sara took us to Kawaii Monster cafe, where everything is outrageous.

Everyone tripping out on the decor of the restaurant.

    A cake merry go round.

    iPad menus.

Crazy how this little world in this restaurant makes Diana and Sara look out of place.

    Abbitt in Wonderland.

The hat timing was not on purpose haha.

    Dessert monsters.

Everything looks pretty, but it was bland in flavor.

    Mostly for the gram.

After Kawaii Monster, we decided that A5 yakiniku would help get rid of the bland taste in our mouths.

We went to Roppongi and checked out the Tokyo City View. I actually like this view better than being inside the Tokyo Tower.

    Infinity walk way.

Met up with Jennifer who I went to high school with for all you can drink with her friends.

    My new bestfriend Grace.

Keisuke was downing drinks with Vinh all night. I’m very impressed on how much they both drank. I would’ve been dead after the third drink.

Thanks Jenn for having us and finding the charcoal toothpaste!

A long day for Abbitt and now he’s waiting for me to put that ass to sleep. Come back soon for more random Japan adventures.
