Time sure flies by, it’s already been a year since the first Auto Gallery show and here we are at their second show. It’s cool that their show has been a success and they were able to do a second show. Congrats Auto Gallery and hope there will be more shows in the future.
This day happened because Dax from the Street Sweeper Gang saw my photo of John’s Integra on Instagram. Dax was going to be in town for Formula Drift Long Beach, so he wanted to shoot John’s car before FDLB. In Royal Origin fashion, we caravanned with 3 slammed cars to meet up with Dax.

On the way to the shoot, we encountered some problems…

We found this small strip of the highway that overlooked the freeway. It made for some crazy long exposure freeway shots.

Stole some light from Dax while he was shooting. I even timed my camera at the same time as him. Haha.
Before Dax was ready to shoot, Kevin and I played around with light painting and got this pretty cool shot. I had to leave right after the shoot to go meet up with Yogi and Taryn. Taryn was visiting all the way from New Zealand and Yogi wanted to show her some neat food places.
It also turned into a mini car meet with some familiar faces like Daniel’s STI.

On Saturday, October 13th, a majority of the Royal Origin guys including myself attended the 2012 Formula Drift: Title Fight event at the Irwindale Speedway. This was the last FormulaD event of the year and a Formula Drift Champion would be crowned by the end of the day. Along with the main drifting event, Fatlace hosted the Slammed Society Showcase.

The part I hate most about our out-of-state friends visiting us, is saying goodbye. All good things come to an end and even though we will for sure see them in the near future, it’s always sad when they leave. We started out the day with the obligatory all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ at Cham Sut Gol.

Sorry, we’ve been pretty busy getting ready for the Infamous show and have not had the time to finish the photos from our Pre-Meet. Hopefully, this post keeps you busy until our coverage of Infamous is complete. The day started early for us because we had to set up. We tried to reserve all of the front parking for modified cars only, but some peeps wanted to show off their stock cars. When we arrived, IMKING had already put up the photos for the photo exhibition and the store was cleaned up and ready for the sale.
A nice little setup; seeing photos printed looks so much cooler than seeing them on a screen.
Royal Origin and IMKING presents Let’s Roll Pt 2. This is an EXCLUSIVE shirt, one time only, and will be at the show this weekend. Also, we will be releasing our first line of pocket lanyards to the public. These items will be available at the Royal Origin and IMKING booth at The Infamous this Saturday, August 11th. Royal Origin and IMKING are hosting a pre-meet for the upcoming show “THE INFAMOUS” by Hellaflush and Canibeat. It will also be a photo exhibition displaying photos from some of the infamous local automotive photographers in the area. There will also be discounts to shop in the store and food trucks. Come out if you enjoy photography, bomb food, and of course, cars!
Wekfest Long Beach was one of the most anticipated car shows that I have been waiting for. One reason was because I was planning to show my car, and another reason was because I knew it would bring out the best of the best that SoCal has to offer.
I was hoping to have a lot done on my car for Wekfest, but time was not on my side. I was really busy with school, trying to get ready for finals, and work took up all my time on the weekends, so I ended up not changing anything. I did add one big piece of information, and that is my car is for sale. That was the main reason why I wanted to show my car at Wekfest. I wanted to promote it and let everyone know that it’s for sale. But enough about my car and me, and onto the show. Wekfest was spectacular like always. I felt like it was better organized than last year. We did not have to wait a long time to get our cars into the show, and the parking situation was well-planned and organized. The finest cars came out and displayed what they had. I noticed that the VIP style is very popular this year, and is becoming something very main stream. There were also a lot of nice functional cars on display ranging from Subie track cars to tracked out Civics. The styles of builds were endless.

I started off on the asphalt, where all the vendor cars were, and the first thing that caught my eye was this crazy Honda Insight. That is definitely the best-looking hybrid I have ever seen!
