Royal Origin Presents GIVING SZN | Event Coverage

Sorry for the late coverage of our Giving SZN event with Greddy Performance! Sometimes Stance Magazine request photos for events I go to and I can’t release the photos until the magazine releases. Check out this month’s Stance Magazine for the coverage of this event!

We had Kenji’s family helping us receive the canned foods from generous donors.

The streets started to fill up early before the event even started.

Big Steve’s LS400 from Auto Fashion.

Amir’s time attack M3 was on display in our vendor area.

This Pandem E30 with the BMW classic livery was looking really nice.

Sparkle’s Rocket Bunny S13 still in great condition.

New member of Royal Origin, Sang’s Porsche Cayman on Fiften52 wheels.

Fresh from winning the GT award at SEMA is the Greddy’s Pandem FC.

Weird to see Kevan in the states, I used to only see him driving me around in Japan in his Chaser.

Someone donated 345 cans of Vienna sausage. Wow!

    MC Celso Nimo.

This artist goes to car meets and draws cars for fun, Ashton’s E36 was the lucky car this time.

Another weird thing to see was Chris’s 350z back from the midwest.

Check out this tiny little car, peep the guy standing next to it for reference of size.

Greddy had the Boost Brigade store open and had tons of good deals!

Check out this E36 with the massive tuck!

    Feels like Japan.

The CEO of Greddy thanking everyone for coming out to the canned food drive.

The winner of our ugly Christmas sweater contest won $50 and a tree that Kevin made.

The prize everyone was going for was this racing suit that was worn by Ken Gushi during the 2018 Formula Drift season. Luckily the person who won also fit the suit!

We were able to collect 1,907 lbs of canned food for South County Outreach!  A big thank you to all of the vendors who supported this event and to Greddy Performance for hosting the event.

Also shout out to Kevin for coming to us with this idea and planning everything!  Thank you to everyone who came out and we wish you all the good fortune and success for 2019! See ya’ll at our next event!

  • TOYO TIRES X SUPER STREET 2019 CALENDAR LAUNCH | Event Coverage

TOYO TIRES X SUPER STREET 2019 CALENDAR LAUNCH | Event Coverage

Our first post and first car meet of the year! Toyo Tires and Super Street had a car meet for the Toyo Tire calendar launch at the Honda Center. It was a pretty close event, so we decided to swing by with the Karuma crew to see what’s good. You can check out our vlog here ..

We planned a meet up with some of the boys from Karuma, here we have Adry’s cat killing IS, Taylor’s LS400 and Frank’s Miata.

The internet has gone crazy for Taylor’s LS400 and you can definitely see why.

Vu ditched his Civic after a hydro lock incident and got into a Subaru. In my opinion, the Subaru is an upgrade from the Civic and more enjoyable to drive.

Vu already rocking our new Royal Origin banner and you can too! Get our banner here at shop.royal-origin.com!

Ashton’s Pandem E36 on Work Meisters and John’s Corvette on mag blue TE-37s. It’s always a beautiful thing to see Japanese wheels on various makes and models.

This sick bagged GTR on TE-37s, coincidentally was meeting up with a friend at our spot too.

When you see an NSX on the way to a car meet, it’s usually a good sign that the turn out is going to be good.

First time in a while there is more than two Royal Origin cars out.

If you ever want to check the strength of your front lip, try hitting a cat like Adry. PETA would be outrage.

Tom from Speed Image’s BMW M3 on ZE40s looks great!

Bagged Tesla Model 3 by our good friends over at Air Runner.

    Clean S15 on TE-37s.

Kenji brought out the Pandem Mazda FC and got the prime parking spot.

Parked next to the Greddy FC was this bad ass Datsun Z.

    Still the best Honda.

Jerald’s brand new LC500. What is it like to be this rich?

    NSX on VS-XXs.

    Junction Produce GS,

We were drooling all over this wide Miata on Work Meisters.

Thanks for the long time support Kouki Jacky!

This FRS pulled off the classic AE86 look with a 4 lug watanabe wheels and thick tires.

This track ready Datsun 510 looked like a beast in the back parking lot. It should have definitely been in the Toyo lot.

This IS looked pretty wild and the tail lights are so sick.

Keith aka k3ychain made it out and people were asking him all day what car he drove.

    Nimo’s wagon on Koenig Monsters.

Rodeny’s Cressida with the new Mark 2 front end.

    My IS250 still for sale…

Rounding up the boys to go eat.

    America.

I hope you finally got your stickers Calvin!

athanks for stopping by and it means a lot that you got this far in the post and with us through out the years. Whenever we see someone rocking our sticker it still trips us out. I hope you enjoyed the photos!

ROYAL ORIGIN x JSPIRIT Car Meet | Event Coverage

Hello friends! I’m sorry these photos of our collaboration meet with JSpirit took so long! It’s because we submitted these photos to Stance Magazine and they decided to publish it for their November issue. Now that the magazine is out, I can finally post the photos online!

It wouldn’t be a Royal Origin meet if we didn’t come late. The parking lot was already full by the time we got there.

Cruising around with Brandon’s S2000 has been the high lite of my trip. This thing is so clean!

    Hawaii is flashy.

One of the things I wanted to see was the VIP car scene in Hawaii, glad I got to see some nice Lexuses out here.

Davin doing car things for once.

All types of cars came out like this lifted GMC with an underground light show.

Shout out to those who support us in Hawaii! It’s always a trip to see our stickers outside of our own group.

Brandon was helping pass out our collaboration sticker with JSpirit. I hope everyone got one!

    The fun police finally arrived.

    Super clean S13.

    Her: Wyd?

    Him: Installing my quarter panel.

Her: There’s a Royal Origin meet tonight.

    Him:….

We were worried HPD would kick us out, but they were just making sure no one did anything stupid.

Nicole and her friend’s RX-7s.  Very nice!

Another awesome VIP Lexus. I wish there was more light for me to see this thing.

Thank you to JSpirit for throwing this meet with us. Also a big shout out to everyone who came out! Ya’ll the real MVPs! Make sure you guys get the latest Stance Magazine for photos of this meet.

  • Pro-Stance Presented by T-Demand | Event Coverage

    Pro-Stance Presented by T-Demand | Event Coverage

It’s been a while since the last time we went to a car meet, but we felt like the Pro-Stance car show would be a great time to come out and see what’s new in the car scene. Pro-Stance is a car show brought to you by the guys over at Central Pine. They have a good relationship with T-Demand Japan and got the guys over from Japan to judge a VIP car show. Shavi and I went at different times, so our photos will be a little bit different. Make sure you check the watermark to be sure who took the photo!

Caught Rilber rolling up in his wide body Audi.

U.S. VIP brought to you by Jay and his LS400.

Clean GS parked in front of the show.

    More of Jay’s LS400…

Jay’s LS400 is bagged with some serious T-Demand suspension to get that negative camber with the Emitz.

Anything with T-Demand parts, you should expect some crazy camber.

The head boss at Central Pine, Sam’s Q45.

    Taylor’s LS400 on Rotiform ROC.

Karuma in full force, a clothing brand by our good buddies.

Taylor and Paul holding it down at the booth. Peep that IS250 rear end tee..

Two Sick IS’s from Pure Lex.

    Black is VIP.

Hot S14 with crazy camber from PURE VIP.

The father of EURO VIP, Johnne Sou’s Job Design E60.

A wild Cressida with a Chaser front end conversion looking like it came straight from Japan.

A car that literally came straight from Japan is this Toyota Crown with that ridic camber on SSR TF1.

Mike Vo’s more crazy than ever LS with that new vinyl wrap and Black Pearl kit.

Sick T-Demand parts to get that extra low and camber.

This GS is probably my favorite from the T-Demand line up.

    Wild E46 from Violent Clique.

Shout out to Central Pine and T-Demand for throwing a sick car show!

After the show, Ky, John and I decided to go to the Oyster Bar at the Artic.

Their ‘House Special’ Clam Chowder and Pan Roast. Bomb!

Later on went to A La Minute for some nitrogen ice cream!

    What a life.

  • Tokyo Night Meet | Event Coverage

Tokyo Night Meet | Event Coverage

We decided that after TAS, we would go check out Joey’s meet in Akihabara. We had nothing to do and decided to hang out in Akihabara until the meet started.

Seeing otaku cars like this in Akihabara was very common.

Me and Abbitt decided to get some Ikinari steak and damn it was such a good choice.

Aged beef never sounded so good.

We started to see cars coming from the wood work headed to the meeting spot.

Wanted to test out the bokeh on the 55MM and damn the bokeh looks so good.

Abbitt got some mini Pablo cheesecakes and they were so good!

    Dessert porn.

While waiting a Veilside FD with under glow pulled up right in front of us. Check out the photos I took here..

    http://royal-origin.com/2017/02/06/veilside-in-akihabara-car-porn

Cars were stuck outside the parking structure because they closed it down.

Surprisingly at 7:00PM there were already cars parked inside the structure.

I wish this NSX was outside and I caught it rolling in.

Caught up with Danh in the restrooms.

The homies over at Level One Japan.

Kazuki took at shinkansen just to meet us up tonight. HOODRATstuff reppin!

Joey decided to move the meet to another spot, but it ended up being shut down too because of the police. We didn’t have a car to go to the next spot, so we decided to go get trashed.

We went drinking with Yuya, Vinh’s new drinking buddy and we met up with Jason, Sparkle and our new friend Monica. Monica was travelling by herself and just randomly went up to us and asked if we spoke English and now we’re BFFs.

Thanks for the hospitality guys, it was a fun night!

Tokyo Fresh Meet 2017 | Event Coverage

Scenes from the Tokyo Fresh meet by Super Street and Hardcore Tokyo.

Man we need these in the States.

Japan still appreciates clean body and tight fitment.

    Creme de la creme.

This NSX is still jaw dropping even though I saw it last year.

    Neck breaker.

Found Colin and Kenny at the meet.

Also found the baddest pair of S14s I’ve ever seen.

We got Ryo the stuff he requested for in America.

Koki’s sick Clinched Lancer. Crazy how low this thing is.

There were only two floors of cars, so we went outside to see why there wasn’t anymore cars coming in.

The police ended up shutting down the meet early and didn’t let anyone enter the parking garage. Japan loves to not make money…

  • Tokyo Auto Salon 2017 | Event Coverage

Tokyo Auto Salon 2017 | Event Coverage

Tokyo Auto Salon 2016 was so awesome, Abbitt and I decided that we would come back again. After months of looking at tickets, the price finally dropped down to $465 round trip. We decided at the moment, 5 months before TAS that we were going.  That gave us time to convince a crew of nine people to go to Japan with us. Why did we commit so early for Tokyo Auto Salon? Because it is one of the best car shows in the entire world. When you go to SEMA, you probably go through a see of vendors to find a car that you will like. At TAS, 75% of the cars are cars that you will make your pants wet. That’s why Japan is an island, they build such cool cars that guys get so wet that they surround themselves with water. If they stopped building cool cars, they would be reconnected with China and Korea again. So make sure you bring extra pants to TAS!

Check out the backpacks, they had extra pants ready.

Entering TAS can be overwhelming, it’s just like using the train here during rush hour. Your butt is going to be touched.

Sick S15 from UP Garage. I’m sad I didn’t go visit one on this trip.

Someone forgot to tell Wanli that the Step Up trend died in 2010 when Channing Tantum decided not to do Step Up 3. Also check out that FRS, it looks like such minimal effort for a TAS car. This is the wanli booth I have criticism for at TAS. Say that fast.

Caught this guy in the left corner salivating over this Lexus IS.

Glad I was able to check out the T-Demand GS in person. So flawless.

Crazy how most of the crowd was here for the models instead of the cars.

How Ariel from the Littler Mermaid would’ve modified a car.

Never thought of Nankang as a performance tire, I’ve always thought of Nankangs as cheap and easy to stretch. They need to sponsor the stance scene in America.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the cars of the future looked like this van. Those headlights are so ridiculous.

Glad to see BN Sports back on the map at TAS. In my opinion, they make the most stylish kits for drift cars. This FD is what I needed to see at TAS for my SC, such a big inspiration to work on my SC. This is what I miss about the car scene in the states. I haven’t seen a car that inspired me in a very long time. It’s been a influx of the Pandem kits and AIRLIFT combo on a majority of cars at meets and shows in the states.

How to get the attention of 100 Japanese men, put a girl on a stripper pole. Ya’ll know you guys have Soap Land and Pink Salon right?

Wish we went on a Friday because this was what my view consisted of 90% of the fucking time.

Fuck The Police in a good way.

You know when looking at this car it looks pretty basic, but Spectra Grafix picked a really good car to show off the quality of their products. Look at he curves, the basic bumper with no fog lights and wheels with no design, so you can just focus on the paint quality only.

Big boss Nakkan putting on a HOODRATstuff sticker on the Old & New Porsche. Thanks Nakkan! It’s a big honor that you put our sticker on.

Is it a chrome wrap? Nah son, it’s paint.

Man this Crown from Aless would be perfect if it didn’t have the chicken wire bottom grill. Chickens aren’t suppose to be in coops, they’re meant to be free.

    Next level show queen trailer.

    More chicken grille. #chickenlivesmatter

This widebody Miata NC tho. Man that rear does it for me, I wish the front fender went down more towards the bottom of the door.

Spotted Sara being a star girl at the Old & New x Spetra paint booth.

Aimgain bringing the heat with a whole range of cars kitted with AIMGAIN. This is the new Stance Nation x AIMGAIN collab FRS kit.

My God this FD is absolutely amazing. It’s called the Humbul and fuck it made me humble about my car real quick.

The new Pandem R32. It looks pretty cool, I’m waiting for the 10 other people who pre-ordered the kit and to see it in 10 different colors at the same meet to decide if I’m in love or not.

God damn is all I have to say about the AIMGAIN NSX.

    Liberty Walk Lexus LS? Wow.

Visited Ty from Hectopascal at the GMG booth and met Diana who ends up taking my phone to text random shit to Sara.

It ended up being Sara and Diana’s lunch time, so we met up with Sara at the food court for some fast ramen and soft serve.

We escorted Sara back at her booth and I thought it would be a good time to shoot her.

A hoard of Japanese men ended up falling from the sky and got in the way of my shots.

I didn’t really like how the wide angle made Sara look, so I decided to see what my portrait 55mm lens that I got from Russia could do. I love how these came out.

Varis GTR on Advans. This is the kit I would get if I owned a GTR.

Man FDs were catching my attention very easily at TAS. I think it’s a sign for me to go buy one.

I can’t believe Vertex brought out their SC to TAS. This SC is fucking goals.

    *heavy breathing*

Got to be on Joey‘s live stream and show everyone how awkward I am in front of the camera.

I hope the rivets on this kit are strong enough to hold her weight.

This girl was trying to give away lanyards, but everyone was zooming so close to her tits that they couldn’t see what was in her hands.

Awesome to still see an Aristo at TAS.

Wish I owned this car when I was playing Pokemon GO.

TAS even had a concert hall where the pineapple pen guy performed.

Recaro seats are so comfortable, they made this room into a movie theater with Recaro seats only.

Abbitt checking his phone to see if Mace and Maui are working or not.

Another year of amazement at Tokyo Auto Salon! I hope you enjoyed the photos and I recommend everyone to go sometime in your life. My tickets were only $465 round trip when I checked early in August. It will be a memorable experience for any car enthusiast. Check back to see all the tourists stuff that we did.

Within the Honda community there have been a few recognizable Honda specific groups, with such being NWP aka NWP4Life. NWP started as a close group of local Honda enthusiasts, who hang out at North Wood Pizza (where the name comes from) and grew from there to have a strong Honda specific forum, which is where the internet came together to share tasteful Honda platforms. And so through the years and years of being around they decided to throw a reboot meet at Eibach Springs, which welcomed all makes and models, but of course hella Honda platforms.
