We got a familiar face that visited us this week, all the way from North Carolina. Big old Vinh. He was in town for his mom’s birthday and had time to hang with us. We decided to go out to Garden Grove Main Street for some matcha foam tea.

Dirty Diana | Daily life

Here are some random photos I took these past two weeks. My blogging game has been weak, I’m pretty sure it has to do with this fucking heat. It’s been in the 100s in temperature lately and my body is not meant for this weather. I shouldn’t be complaining since there are disastrous weather situations going on all around the world. JJ WATT’S FUNDRAISER

JJ Watt of the Houston Texans created a fundraiser with a goal of $200,000 and just a couple of weeks later it’s now at $20,000,000! Crazy, I’m pretty sure JJ Watt is going to put most of this money into helping the flood victims and not put it into expenses like an American Red Cross.

WEKFEST HOUSTON RELIEF

Our friends over at Wekfest wanted to help the victims of the Houston flooding by making a shirt where all net proceeds will be donated to various charities in Houston.

PRINTS FOR HOUSTON

Prints for Houston is a fundraiser by a bunch of famous IG photographers. You pick a photo you want as a print and they donate the profits to charities in Houston. Pretty awesome!

John got a new hood for his Vette and it made his car look ten times more aggressive.

John’s Corvette is on point.

Saw this brisket sandwich on Food Beast and I had to try it. It ended up being a disappointment.. Looks good but the meat was so bland and there wasn’t enough.

Took Dirty Diana out for a shoot that I’ve always wanted to do on Main St.

I love neon lights and bright signs that’s why I wanted to shoot in front of this Cabaret theater. The conditions were kind of difficult because there were a bunch of cars coming through, so I was getting a lot of these crazy light streaks.

This one turned out okay, but it was kind of dark.

The money shot with just a little bit of Photoshop.

Ever since the SC was wrapped it feels like I need to make it more aggressive. Maybe a vented hood is needed just like John’s Corvette.

Cut and Break | Daily Life

Brought the camera to work at 714 Tires and decided to shoot around. Good thing I took the IS250 to work.

Crazy how all the things I had planned for this car years ago have finally come to fruition.

Got the Scaras finally rebuilt after my accident.

Rodney was cutting his Cressida’s hood for a vent today.

Came home to a sleepy Bushinka.

Decided to shoot some photos of the IS in front of my new fence. I can’t wait to paint the fence black.

So in love with my 78 Works tail lights.

John’s GS300 and Friends.

Change is inevitable. As humans, we always feel the need to change or upgrade our lives. For us car enthusiasts, that means moving on from different automobile platforms. John decided that he wanted to move away from being a snail on the streets to becoming a stallion on the race track. His decision to leave the Lexus family to jump into the Chevy group has been a questionable decision by everyone, but it’s his money so he does what he wants. To help John sell his car, I spent the morning with John and friends to shoot his GS300.

Southern Style | Car Feature

We got to take some up close shots of Kyle’s GS300, Justin’s LS400 and Ryan Richey’s WRX. All of these cars have very unique features that make them stand out from the crowd and compelled us to take them aside to shoot.First we have Kyle’s Lexus GS300 and as you can see it has a wild body kit with accents that match the wheels.

The body kit is from 326 Power a shop that is known for creating some of the craziest stanced cars in Japan from their body kits to their suspension parts that help create more wheel camber. This is my first time seeing someone in the States rocking the full body kit.

The wheels are Weds Kranze Cerebus and it’s held on with 326 Power extended lug nuts.

LED bars infused into the front bumper to light the way at night.

The GS is also sporting the 326 Power wing!

A very nice build and we’re glad to see more Japanese influenced cars here in the states.

Up next is Justin’s very wide LS400.

Justin’s LS400 is fronting a Sixth Sense front bumper and a custom wide body by Super Star Customs.

The Algernon Intelesse are tucked nicely under that wide fender.

This thing is just awesome to look at.

Besides owning a cool car, he also adopts rescue dogs making Justin an awesome guy.

Last because he got lost and was late, Ryan Richey’s WRX. A car that was all over the inter-webs last year is still breaking necks today. Not many people dare to wide body their cars, let alone do it themselves.

Ryan’s WRX is sporting some temporary wheels and his front bumper was suppose to be wrapped the other day, but Chris Foreman never helped him out. Fuck Chris.

Anyways, the WRX still looks good regardless of the front bumper’s color.

Shout out Ryan, Justin and Kyle for letting me shoot their cars! It was a great taste of what the south has to offer in terms of modified cars. Hope to see you guys again sometime soon!

Neel’s LS400

Spent the day in down town LA, we planned to do a photo shoot of Neel’s LS400 before he leaves us to Las Vegas for work. We had a pretty good team with Vu, Shavi and Nimo doing video work and Rocky and I shooting photos. The main photographer was Rocky, I was just hanging out and trying to do some behind the scenes photos.

The man of the hour, Neel Nana.

The next location was under the historic LA bridge. Many movies and photo shoots have been shot under this bridge.

Our next location was another famous location, but I guess there was a movie being filmed, so it was closed off with police surrounding the area. We decided to just find an empty parking structure to shoot.

The lighting was a bit hard to work with, but we had a bunch of fun light painting which none of my photos show. I was the one holding a piece of cardboard to cover the lights when they were light painting.

Sippin on Dat Sizzurp

Derek swung by my work at JDM Chemicals to get a little detail on his car. His car as some of you know is vinyl wrapped so my co worker Jason suggested to use our Quick Rinse Soap which is a very light soap that doesn’t take off wax. It’s perfect for vinyl because it won’t make the color of the vinyl fade quicker.

Before washing the car, the vinyl looked a bit dull.

Applying some of the best wheel cleaners from Japan. It repels brake dust too.

After the wash, the color of the vinyl started to look alive again.

Jason is a perfectionist even when it comes to washing cars.

Looking so fresh and so clean, we decided to go out to shoot the purple monster.

Got my tires mounted at my favorite tire shop. 714 Tires.

They also have for sale some of our stickers in their display case.

I was pretty nervous about running 19x11s in the rear, fearing that it would be too aggressive.

With the help of Boss Company, we were able to tuck it under my fresh quarter panel.

Looks pretty sick from the rear, I’m happy with the out come. Well, enjoy the rest of the photos!
