Boden Bash 2016 | Event Coverage

Boden AutoHaus a premium air suspension specialist shop in Costa Mesa, California put together a car meet that had a cars and coffee type vibe with a good variety of makes/models coming together to share their Saturday morning together. These are the cars that caught my eye.

Matt’s GS400 equipped with 326power and Black Magician kit on SSR Professor SP1.

After Boden Bash 2016, we head up to 714 Tires to meet up with John to hangout while he gets an alignment since we were getting lunch together after that.

Kevin’s S2000 | Royal Origin Member

The other day, Kevin came to visit me at work and brought out the S2000 for some fresh air. Thought it would be cool to shoot his car since I’ve only shot it when it’s at a meet or a show.

This wrap by Robros Customs is so good. The wrap job is so detailed that it looks like paint and the way it is laid out hides the fact that it’s a wrap.

Fitted with some Avant Garde Alpha Forged A1.

The Alpha Forged A1’s tuck nice under the S2000 fenders.

Vertex steering wheel is in my opinion the coolest steering wheel on the market. Quality you can feel.

AUTOCON LA 2014

It’s crazy to think that the last time I was at Autocon was 3 years ago. Time flies by fast, one day you’re complaining about car shows the next day you’re helping host one. It has really changed my perspective of car shows and now I fully understand the stress and headaches of running a car show. I apologize for what I’ve said back in 2011 about this show. I was young, dumb and a wreckless keyboard warrior. Even though apologies are way too late now, I hope this picture of a sad chocolate Labrador will make up for it.

The morning started like every other car show, early as fuck roll in. The process for check in was pretty quick and we got set up within 20 minutes of checking in.

Hundreds of cars were pouring in through this gate. I hate commenting on about cars because all I can really say is what kind of car it is and what wheels it has. So, I’ll just comment here and there if I really have something interesting to say.. which is never.

I want this diffuser bad.

So many Lambos at the 88 Rotors booth. That whole section was money.

Mismatched wheels? You’re totally going to lose some style points when the judges come around.

Aired up and still a lot of camber. VIP cars from Royal Flush.

Man what I would do for a set of any of these wheels… The things I would do..

Marcus Cooke’s supremely clean G35 now on Air Lift. Height looks the same to me when it was static, but a mm of clearance makes all the difference to the driver.

Car show people are serious. If only they kept their homes as clean as their cars. Am I right ladies?

A Weekend in Sin City

It was that time of the year again where Royal Origin invades Las Vegas to have our 3rd annual meet and greet in the city of sin. As the years passed, nothing has changed for the most part. We do it to have fun with our friends and family, and love making new friends with each passing year.

Some of you might know this by now, but I recently went Universal Air bags over BC Racing coilovers with Accuair analog management. Thanks to Bag Riders and Unlimited Auto Craft for helping me get it all together. Because of this, I was constantly working on getting everything fine tuned and safe to make the journey to Las Vegas. In the end, I made it to the meet with only one hour left before the meet ended. Regardless, I was happy to see everyone who made it out.

The top two pictures you see above is my car aired up at 80 PSI, which is also my drive height. Here I am cruising to Red Rock Canyon, which is in the North-West corner of Las Vegas.

With Red Rock Canyon as our back drop we have Chivas’ Civic, Ashton’s IS350, Neel’s Accord, Alex’s E36, and my Mazdaspeed 3.

My car aired out on 18×10 +25 Cosmis Racing MR7, which were powder coated Gloss White.

Overall I am super satisfied with the Cosmis Racing MR7. The concave is extremely aggressive, and the wheels feel a bit lighter than most cast wheels these days.

Bobby’s GS300

It is very rare for me to make my way down to San Diego, just because it is quite a drive and there is never really a reason to go there. But for a few days, I had to stay down there for some hospital interview, and on my free time I was able to explore a small portion of San Diego, mostly downtown SD. While I was there, I got to hang out with my buddy Bobby Bouaphakeo, who showed me a few beautiful spots in SD.

Bobby showed me a cool spot with a view of downtown San Diego. It was time to clean the car up and take some pictures before it got too dark.

As you can see, this GS300 is on air ride, which Bobby finished the night before we met up.

Bobby is an OG in Wrong Fitment Crew. Since I have known him, he has gone through a variety of cars.

Wekfest LA 2012 Part 3 (Minh)

Here is the last part of our 3-part coverage of Wekfest. All I can say is that it was another successful show thrown by Weksos Industries. We usually don’t go out to shows and meets because we just see the same cars over and over and over again…not hating on the people that keep on coming back, but it’s just nice to see something different for a change. With that kind of thinking, I realized I had lost my way; I forgot that I didn’t go to car shows and meets just to show the world what I have been doing with my car. I also go to hang out with my friends, meet new people, and make bigger connections. I hope I don’t forget that again in the future. I’m going to just leave you guys with some photos that I shot for all the homies and future friends of Royal Origin that attended Wekfest. Enjoy!

The Biggest of All Vinhs

The other day, KPH photography hit me up to shoot this girl Julie. It was super last minute, but we had everything planned out. We just needed a location and a car. KPH found the location and I got the car. I knew that my friend Vinh was going to get off work soon and that he’s always down for a shoot, so I called him first and he agreed. When we all met up, the model Julie complained that she was cold, was not comfortable shooting with me, and did not want to shoot with a car. Basically, it was a waste of time for Vinh and I to come, so I decided fuck it, I’ll just shoot Vinh’s car since he made the trek out to shoot with us.

If I had anyone to thank for getting me into the car scene, it would be this guy, Vinh. Oh yeah, this isn’t the same Vinh that owns the red STI on Work Ultimates. That’s Dep Trai(Handsome in Vietnamese) Vinh, and not the one that owns the Black SC300 on Work Meisters that’s Cute Vinh. The one we’re talking about is Big Vinh. Back when I didn’t know what a Lexus was and why cars even have engines, he was the one who got me into it. I forgot how it even started; I just remember when he first lowered his GS300 and got some OEM G35 wheels, I was really impressed. From then on, our friendship grew because I would always go to him when I needed advice on my car or help with installing something. He’s been there for all of my car-related needs ever since back then until now. Til this day, I still go to his house when I want to get something difficult installed. Enough of the fan boy talk, now let me show you his pristine Lexus LS430.

Vinh’s LS is tucking some Work Varianzas V5S. Vinh loves Work Wheels because it reflects the kind of person he is. Always putting in WORK.

Autocon Collaboration 2011

This year’s Autocon 2011 in Irvine, California was a huge success with over 4,000 attendees, 450 cars, 30 vendors, 15 food trucks, and many models who came out that day. We would like to take the time to thank everyone on the Autocon staff that helped put this event together. Even though, the focal point are these cars at the event, it is mainly about the donations and donated toys that this event was able to accumulate for the less fortune for the holiday season.

Here is my video coverage of the Canibeat and Royal Origin collaboration. Over 30 cars met up very early in the morning; we were even able to see the very last lunar eclipse of the year at the same time! Then drove down together as a group to roll in and organize at the show. Once again it was good meeting all our old and new friends to enjoy the day together, even if it was a very long day at that. This was an excellent way to end the year, before the show season starts up again in 2012.
