SPOCOM 2016 | Event Coverage

The last time Royal Origin was at SpoCom, we were showing Erick Wei’s S2000 with IM KING. That was back in 2011 and now in 2016 we’re here vending for their 10th Anniversary show. This year SpoCom rented the bigger hall in the Anaheim Convention Center and filled it! The hall was filled to the brim with amazing cars from all over Southern California and even better half naked models all over the show. There was enough eye candy to give you diabetes at this show.

We had Chris from Sterling Autocon show his Porsche 991 Turbo converted to full GT3 Cup Car.

Team Emperor brought out an array of fine EVO’s, I’m sure they took all the awards for the Mitsubishi class.

I didn’t even know Tiana G was into cars, but I guess she owns this Lexus RCF on HRE wheels that was being displayed at Ark Peformance.

I think most of the spectators come for this part of the show, the model bikini contest hosted by a go go dancer. There was a rule of no twerking for some reason, but these ladies couldn’t contain their ratcheness.

Our friend Krstina was a contestant trying to win some money to take us out for shabu. She was the winner of this contest two years ago.

Finally after some hand gestures from me and Abbitt she finally flipped it.

Not really sure how they judge this, but we all assumed the girl with the nicest breast would win.

At least Krstina got $100 enough for three people to eat at shabu. 😉

Vegas for a Day | Road Trips

Did a suicide trip with Shavi to Vegas, so I could surprise the wife. Thanks Shavi for being the real MVP.

On The Daily | Life

Shavi came to visit 714 Tires for alignment and we decided to go get lunch with John at Micks. While waiting we decided to get some photos in before John arrived.

714 to 626 | The Daily

Some crazy things going on recently at Robros Customs. Jason is boosting his Wrangler, so he can drift it. Yup, a Jeep Wrangler for drifting. He outfitted his engine with a Prodigy Performance kit and upgraded from the stock brakes to Willwood Performance brakes.

Jason has been talking about this project for two years and I’m glad I’m witnessing it first hand his dreams coming true.

A lot of time and hard work being put into making a Jeep a drift car, but I know Jason can make this happen.

Had lunch at By Chloe where everything is vegetarian or vegan. It was surprisingly good for something that wasn’t meat.

Later on that night, I met up with Angelo, Shavi, Justin and Bonnie at the KINOD meet. Angelo and I decided to be the odd bunch of the group and bring out 350Z and IS out.

We ended the night eating Jazz Cat and hanging out at the “lair” where we use to hang out back then for hours.

GMR CRUISING | Canyon Runs

From time to time, we like to go out in the canyons for a nice cruise and today I got a chance to ride with John and see what his Corvette can do. He’s gone away from being a stance/fitment guy and now is all about how his car is going to perform and wants to eventually take it out on the track.

Afters Meet | Event Coverage

Afters Ice Cream is poppin’ up everywhere and to celebrate each opening, they usually throw a big car meet and have special flavors for that day. This night Afters in Cerritos threw a car meet with Crooks N Castles and had a special ube ice cream flavor for everyone to try.

LA Catch Up | RO Explore

Vinh Luong was in town with Rica and we had a triple date for some good SoCal food. It’s crazy how Vinh use to live down here and I would see him almost every other day, but now that he’s done with school and moved back to Milpitas I only see him a couple of times a year. I’m glad even without the passion of cars, we’re still able to hang out like we use to and that’s when you know you have a lifetime friend.

We took them to Abbitt and Kristina’s favorite shabu spot, Mokkoji Shabu Bar in Irvine.

Get any meat and ask for it to be marinated. Life changing…

Dessert we hit up the one spot that is always open late. After’s Ice Cream for a milky bun.

The following night was an adventure to KTown in LA for the best KBBQ. Hae Jong Chae. The girls wanted us to take a group photo, but we don’t really know how to be normal for a photo.

Zion | RO Explore

My favorite thing to do is be out in the wilderness where mass murderers and bears can come out to kill you without any way of calling for help because you know in all movies police or any government aid in the wilderness are pretty much useless. But for my wife’s happiness, I risked my safety and we planned a trip out to Zion National Park with Chivas, Shavi, Nimo, Derek, Polly, Angelo and Bonnie. Most of my photos will be covering the second day of the trip, since I wasn’t able to make it to the first day where everyone went off-roading.

429 miles, 6 hours and going 110 MPH thanks to my wife’s driving.

Crazy how they were able to build these roads through the mountains.

We made it to Zion late, but everyone still had a lot of energy to cook dinner.

Zion | RO Offroad

It hasn’t been long since some of us have fallen in love with off-roading, which really compliments our love of all things car, and exploring the world we live in. So, we decided to plan a Friday to Sunday camping and off-roading trip to Zion National Park in Utah. With Zion National Park only 2-3 hours away from Las Vegas, Nevada, and 6-7 hours away from Southern California; it was far enough to change the scenery dramatically. The first day was just filled with getting there, and setting up camp so we could off-road till the sunsets.
