Customizing with Rhino | Car Nights

Lately, I’ve been spending most of my time at Rhino Customs where Rodney works. We’ve been doing small stuff to my IS, so it could look presentable. Rodney has helped me mount tires, install bumpers, grills, headlights and so much more. Thanks Rodney for all the help! Building a car really does bring friends together.

    530

Rodney applying some black vinyl to my fenders to see how it’ll look. It didn’t look good…

    Almost perfect.

    525

Loving my new 78 Works tail lights and AIMGAIN trunk spoiler courtesy of Kyoei USA and Ryo.

    Looking better everyday.

    543

The shop car is a LS swaped S14 that they plan to compete in drift events for shop exposure.

    545

    That logo..

    547

I thought it would be cool to do some light painting in the shop, little did I know I really suck at light painting.

    582

We also spent some time putting each other’s cars together. Like installing Abbitt’s lift for his truck.

    588

    Bruno Mars loves cars.

    594

Rodney teaching Abbitt how to mount tires.

We also had to install Rodney’s coil overs and mount his tires.

None of us knew how to stretch tires and we did the only thing we know how to do. Apply a little #HOODRATstuff to it.

    609

and a lot of brake fluid and a torch..

    613

Googling how to stretch a tire…

    618

We ended up figuring it all out and actually got all the tires mounted.

    The power of team work.

    Looking good Bruno.

Just another Wekfest at Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA, however, this time around this is the last one at this location. Nonetheless, they put together Southern California’s finest automotive builds together once again. Here is a video highlight from some clips Nimo capture, and I decided to quick edit together. Enjoy.

    Erik’s EP3 | Car Feature

I don’t think Erik’s EP3 needs an introduction because you’ve probably seen his car in most of our posts and all over the social media sphere for being one of the lowest EP3’s out there. Erik asked me and Shavi to shoot his car and usually when owners ask that it’s because they’re either selling the car or something big is going to happen to it. Which for Erik I think he’s going to raise his car like an inch. Dramatic I know..

    DSC00366

    DSC00387

Erik’s EP3 is static sitting on Volk TE-37 SL.

So much tuck, I think Erik’s plan to raise his car is actually a really good idea.

On The Way | Freeway Rollers

A little throwback from our caravan to Vegas for our Anniversary meet. This year we decided to have an open caravan to Vegas, but sadly only 3-4 cars from our group made it this year when we usually have a flurry of 20+ cars. We’re just getting older and other responsibilities are taking us away from our cars. I’m still glad that some new people came out to our caravan and we want to thank all of the people who decided to cruise with us for coming out.

Kevin’s S2000 and the Greddy Ben Sopra GTR.

    DSC08857

It’s been 3 months since I took this photo, so I forgot the owner’s name, but his FD was clean and it sounded awesome on the 15 freeway.

    DSC08865

The homie Allen, brought out his 350z from Low N Slow.

    DSC08884

You can see that he supports our friends from Super Kawaii.

    DSC08900 DSC08923

Mikey brought out his static LS430 on VIP Modulars. It was ridiculous seeing this car cruise the 400 miles to Vegas.

    DSC08927 DSC08929 DSC09021 DSC09023

    DSC08944

Surprisingly, Mikey was keeping up with the Greddy GTR. Kenji was at the helm and breaking necks on the 15 freeway.

Bruno Mars is really humble and brought out his E39.

    DSC09009 DSC09012 DSC09027

Mikey ended up getting a blow out, so we stopped on the side of the freeway to help out. Six highway patrol rolled up on us and only let one car to stay behind to help Mikey. I don’t have a photo of the situation, so here’s a photo of Allen’s 350z.

Boost Brigade, an upcoming brand in the automotive industry, invited us to their spring launch. Boost Brigade is the brain child of Kenji, the president of Greddy Performance. Another One | Anniversary Meet

A throwback post for our Anniversary meet in Vegas. Sorry, this post took so long, life passes by so quick when you’re having fun and I haven’t had time to edit photos and definitely no time for blogging. It’s just crazy how time flies by so fast, back then we had this meet with the Low Ballers to commemorate our bromance and gay love. Now things have changed, people change and feelings change too. We still got mad love for the new Low Ballers, but it’s not the same as when we were younger. The meet now is an excuse for the whole group to go to Vegas to get super smashed and make a bunch of mistakes.

The morning of our Anniversary Meet, we had a wedding to attend, but first we had to get some breakfast to cure the early morning hang over from last night.
