    The Biggest of All Vinhs

    The other day, KPH photography hit me up to shoot this girl Julie. It was super last minute, but we had everything planned out. We just needed a location and a car. KPH found the location and I got the car. I knew that my friend Vinh was going to get off work soon and that he’s always down for a shoot, so I called him first and he agreed. When we all met up, the model Julie complained that she was cold, was not comfortable shooting with me, and did not want to shoot with a car. Basically, it was a waste of time for Vinh and I to come, so I decided fuck it, I’ll just shoot Vinh’s car since he made the trek out to shoot with us.

    If I had anyone to thank for getting me into the car scene, it would be this guy, Vinh. Oh yeah, this isn’t the same Vinh that owns the red STI on Work Ultimates. That’s Dep Trai(Handsome in Vietnamese) Vinh, and not the one that owns the Black SC300 on Work Meisters that’s Cute Vinh. The one we’re talking about is Big Vinh.  Back when I didn’t know what a Lexus was and why cars even have engines, he was the one who got me into it. I forgot how it even started; I just remember when he first lowered his GS300 and got some OEM G35 wheels, I was really impressed. From then on, our friendship grew because I would always go to him when I needed advice on my car or help with installing something. He’s been there for all of my car-related needs ever since back then until now. Til this day, I still go to his house when I want to get something difficult installed. Enough of the fan boy talk,  now let me show you his pristine Lexus LS430.

    Vinh’s LS is tucking some Work Varianzas V5S. Vinh loves Work Wheels because it reflects the kind of person he is. Always putting in WORK.

    3RD POWER

    A couple of nights ago I was really bored at home, and could not fall asleep, so I started messing around with my camera. At first I was just taking pictures of things in my room, but that got boring super quick, because I was taking pictures of the same thing over and over again. After 30 minutes or so, I decided to call my friend Gian, and asked him if I could shoot his car. It was like 2 in the morning, but since he is such a good homie and him already being out because he is Mr. popular, he agreed.

    Gian started off in the car scene with a Mitsubishi Mirage he did not go to crazy with the car, just a simple drop and wheels, but hence it being a mirage it was a sight to see. Unfortunately he got into an accident with that car and had to part ways with it. Shortly after he picked up the Nissan Cube which is what he is working with today. Gian is a very picky person from his taste in women to the cars he modifies. He did not want to go with a car that had been done numerous of times i.e. civic, XB, or even a TC.

  • Searching For New Locations

    Searching For New Locations

    Exploring new locations to take photos of cars is always a challenge. For the kind of cars we have, we’re always worried about speedbumps, dips, train tracks and other road obstacles that aren’t friendly to our cars. Finding the perfect spot with a nice background and a good amount of space that won’t lure any security or local authorities isn’t as easy as it seems. Today, some of the guys and I decided to search for new spots around town. We had already covered everyone’s individual spots that they have discovered, but we felt the need to broaden our locations from simple parking structures and dead end streets.

    Here are a few snaps of our little adventure, as we continue to explore new places, angles, and placements, you can be sure that you’ll find more posts from us coming soon!
