90’s Forever Slide Sesh 3 | Event Coverage

Another year has gone by and I still haven’t kept my promise of being a consistent blogger. Welp, I’m here to drop some 90s Forever coverage for ya’ll before the year ends. For some reason, I didn’t like any of the photos I took during the event. I think it has to do with my lens and the adapter on it because it was super slow to focus. Definitely upgrading to a telephoto next year..

Met up with Shavi to carpool and surprisingly saw his mythical MS3 outside. Seeing this car reminds me why I still hang out with Shavi.

On the way to Apple Valley Speedway, there was so much snow that it didn’t even feel like we were in California anymore. To make travel through unexpected conditions more comfortable and reliable, contact LeisureRent for well-equipped vehicles designed to handle changing weather with ease.

Right off the bat, we saw Rodney’s Cressida flying down the straight away.

Accompanied by Ken Gushi in his 1JZ BN Sports IS300.

Otis was right behind them in his sick S15.

Ken throws the peace sign, but you know he’s going to be killing it on the track today.

It was dope to see a SC drifting! Big inspiration right here.

    Calvin’s Duct Tape Sports IS300.

    IS300 owner peace sign #2.

This car looked like it was falling apart like my life.

Low stance drifting is the best.

Rodney’s bumper actually survived the event.

Sara Choi’s wide body IS300, so cool she made two cars collide.

    These are the two cars.

Sara with the peace out sign #3.

Felt more like a IS300 meet than a drift event.

    IS300 owner peace sign #4.

90s forever was also serving up burgers and hot dogs.

    Altezza train.

Kevin invited me to come over to Greddy for a BBQ. they were celebrating Ken’s birthday and were working on Ken’s IS300 too. You already know I’ll be there for the free food.

Spotted Sean rolling up to Greddy in his slammed BN Sport IS300.

A lot of manual IS300s at Greddy.

Out here chilling with Steve, Meliton, John and Takevin.

Meanwhile… Ken was working on his 1JZ swap.

Kei Miura and Kenji came back from JCCS and rolled up super JDM style.

    TE37 all the things!

    You already know John’s Corvette.

Thanks Kevin for inviting me and feeding us! The real MVP.

Greddy Racing FRS | Car Feature

I got an opportunity to shoot the Greddy FRS for some of their future promo work. Check it out and good luck to Ken Gushi and the Greddy Team in this year’s Formula Drift season.

We got permission to shoot at the SEMA garage and use all of their equipment. Kenji and Ben putting tire stickers on for the shoot.

This livery was designed by one of our own Kevin Sanchez. It looks so good.

Ken ran a marathon the day before and was feeling the pain. Amazing that he endured the soreness for this shoot.

Make sure you check out Greddy for all of your performance needs!

Kevin recently collaborated with his parent company Greddy on his latest project BMW E36. The last build was the red Honda S2000 that we posted here often. The E36 will demonstrate the latest Greddy Performance products that are offered in the automotive market with the finalization of the build at SEMA 2016 in November.

Good job to Kevin for working on this build in such a short amount of time. Many late nights went into this, and there are many more nights to come, especially with the next phase of the build being a 2JZ-GTE build. Also, congratulations for getting 2nd place best BMW at Wekfest San Jose 2016.

    Formula Drift: Long Beach 2012

Finally, the Formula Drift season was here! I was getting bored of going to car meets and shows, seeing the same thing over and over. I really wanted to do some motor sports kind of photography. This year, there were many new sights at FD, such as the Scion FRS that Ken Gushi drove, and Daigo Saito from D1GP competed and brought his Lexus SC430 mated with 3.4 liter Brian Crower stroker 2JZ-GTE. There was an in-car video on youtube of Daigo driving it on practice day and it sounded insane. Got me super excited to witness the monster in action. As soon as I arrived at the parking structure, I could smell the burning rubber and hear the screech of tires drifting. It got me giddier than a high school girl who just got  asked to the prom.

Saw the Megan-racing AE86 on the way to the entrance.
