D1GP Osaka | RO in Japan

Today was going to be pretty exciting, this would be my first time attending a D1GP event and I finally get to witness the professional side of Japanese drifting. We got the group together early in the morning and took a train to Nishinomiya to meet up with Ty for a ride to the event.

    123

I actually miss using trains as a mode of transportation. Wish we had a system as good as this in California.

    124

    Morning moods.

    125

Toyota Altezza rolling into the parking lot of the event.

    126

A drift LFA, I’ve seen everything now.

    127

    128

Gangster Rocket Bunny S13 at the Trust booth.

    130

    131

Holy shit. This FD is killing it, everything on it looks flawless as hell.

    290

Candy red might just be my color.

    133

Looks like the owner of this car is running a Charge Speed front bumper

    269

That rear end is so aggressive, can’t stop LOOKING.

    243

    132

The 326 Power RC350 is an incredible thing to see in person. I can’t believe it’s static.

    185

Only in Japan where you’ll see something like this on the road.

    135

How do you drive this thing without destroying anything?

    DSC09378

There’s probably no suspension travel or that rim would be all up on that quarter panel.

    215

    270

    286

    287

326 Power always has a killer brake to wheel combo.

    288

    What are thooose?

    184

    136

    Wald GTR.

    282

The new Liberty Walk G35 kit looks pretty damn good. I thought it would make the car look more bubbly, but the kit execution isn’t that bad.

    225
    226

This Liberty Walk Lamborghini probably cost more than the cost to run this event.

    276

    Neck breaking all day.

    277

    139

    141

Finally got to see some drifting action after getting distracted in the vendor area. You don’t normally see a 3rd generation GS being drifted, but this is Japan and anything can happen.

    142

    143

The race pits were very welcoming and there were no off limits areas, you can literally stand next to the mechanics while they’re working on a car.

    144

The drift cars here have way more style than the ones in Formula Drift.

    145

    146

I saw this car last year at Nagoya Exciting Car Show, glad to see it gets used.

    147

Awesome to see an Altezza being used for professional drifting!

    153

    156

    148

The Rocket Bunny kit is kissing the floor when being worked on.

    149

You’ll see all of your favorite drift cars from S15s to Chasers in this pit.

    150

    Itasha style on D1GP cars.

    157

Never thought I would associate GOOD YEAR with drifting.

RO in Japan | Nagoya Exciting Car Show Parking Lot Spottings

Whenever I saw online photo coverage of an event in Japan, there are always cool cars in the parking lot. After spending a couple of hours inside of Port Messe Dome, we ventured out to the parking lot to see if we can find anything special.

Amidst the excitement of uncovering hidden gems, individuals may also find themselves contemplating the value of their own cars, pondering factors such as depreciation and market demand. In such moments, comparisons between models like the audi a1 vs polo may arise, as owners seek to gauge the worth of their cars against competitors in the market. This evaluation process serves as a crucial step for those considering selling their vehicles, allowing them to make informed decisions based on factors such as performance, features, and resale value.

Whether bidding farewell to a beloved Audi A1 or bidding adieu to a trusty Polo, individuals can trust in the expertise and efficiency of platforms like BigWantsYourCar.com to facilitate a smooth and rewarding transaction, ensuring that their automotive journey continues with confidence and clarity.

When it comes to navigating the used car market, the choice of dealership can significantly influence the experience and outcome of the transaction. Buyers and sellers alike benefit from the guidance of a reputable used car dealership, where knowledgeable staff can provide valuable insights into vehicle histories and market trends. With an emphasis on transparency and customer satisfaction, top-rated products RaceAutoGroup stands out by prioritizing the needs of its clients, ensuring they have all the information necessary to make informed decisions about their next vehicle.

In addition to offering a wide range of quality vehicles, a best-used car dealership also excels in providing comprehensive services that simplify the buying and selling process. From detailed vehicle inspections to financing options, these dealerships take the stress out of purchasing or parting with a car. With professionals dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience, individuals can explore trade-in options and receive fair appraisals, further enhancing their confidence in the transaction.

As part of this careful evaluation, attention often turns to the interior condition of the vehicle, where well-maintained seat covers can significantly influence a car’s resale value. Companies like Seat Covers Unlimited offer a range of options that not only protect the original upholstery but also enhance the aesthetic appeal of the interior. Investing in quality seat covers ensures that whether owners decide to keep their Audi A1 or Polo, or move on to another model, the car’s interior remains pristine and appealing to potential buyers. This simple addition can make a world of difference in maintaining the car’s overall condition and value over time.

The parking lot did not disappoint, there were cars out here that should have been inside the show. Check out this Supra on TE37s with 326 Power extended lug nuts.

RO in Japan | Nagoya Exciting Car Show

Another day, another trip down south for a car show in Japan. The Nagoya Exciting car show was recommended by my friend Colin to check out. This was a car show filled with every JDM fanboy’s dreams. Japanese racing cars from drift to time attack were in an attendance and so were the companies that built or sponsored them.

    jptrip2 115

Wide RX-7 drift ready on a set of Enkei T6S.

    jptrip2 117

The Endless FT86 rocking a blue panther livery on some Enkei PF01.

    jptrip2 119

All of these Japanese company cars make rocking Enkei wheels that aren’t RPF1s look good.

    jptrip2 121

This track Mercedes AMG GT was looking deadly at the show.

    jptrip2 124

    jptrip2 125

What’s cool in Japan is that they are super into sports compact motor sports. Walking around the show there were a ton of  compact cars that were designed for the track.

    jptrip2 126

    Triplets of Abarths.

    jptrip2 127

This wide E90 was looking mean on Work Meister M1R.

    jptrip2 133

    jptrip2 128

    jptrip2 130

A rare sight to see in the States and ever rarer in Japan. A pristine GMC Delorean.

    jptrip2 132

Crazy livery design on this Porsche by Rush Motor Sports.

    jptrip2 136

    jptrip2 315

    jptrip2 389

    jptrip2 144

Exotics left and right at this show, probably what makes this show exciting for the Japanese.

    jptrip2 146

    jptrip2 148

Didn’t know I could like a car with anime print on it, but this 86 proved me wrong.

    jptrip2 149

    jptrip2 154

Chaser dreams. Can’t wait for the 25 year rule in the States to lift for these cars to come over.

    jptrip2 155

    jptrip2 156

    jptrip2 157

Be prepared to see a whole lot of GTRs from R32-R35s.
