Southern Worthersee 2015 Part Two | Event Coverage

The next morning, we found ourselves in an unfamiliar sight, surrounded by lots and lots of trees and no cell phone reception. I really question how my life was before I was so dependent on my cell phone. When we would drive back to the cabin it would have to be by memory because our navigation needed cell service. When we were at the cabin, we were on some 56k dial up internet that did not let anything load. I don’t remember the last time I was that frustrated with the internet. It was like waiting for the an image of a naked girl back in the days and only being able to load the head of the girl. You just had to let your imagination work the rest of the body.. Anyways on to the start of part two of our SOWO trip…

    DSC04871

Chris trying to call his mom to let her know he’s not gay.

    DSC04869

Ryo not smoking cigarettes because people were bumming cigarettes from him left and right.

    DSC04863

    Alan Lacey’s 350z bagged on Work VS-KFs.

    DSC04864

That fender to rim fitment tho.

    DSC04866

Bryan’s static E36 on MB Battles. It seemed like a rough drive up the rocky roads for him to get to the cabin.

    DSC04858

He was also having a fuel pump issue, but luckily someone that was still on the way to Helen grabbed one for him.

    DSC04859

    DSC04646Long winding roads.
    DSC04877

Meanwhile back at the show, there were way more cars in town than there were yesterday. Traffic started a mile or two outside of town.

Speaking of things you don’t see everyday, we got to see these beauties next to Tucker’s motel.

This is Justin’s LS400 with radiused fenders rolling on some wide Algernon Intelesse.

    DSC04951

Kyle’s GS equipped with 326 Power suspension and full body kit bagged on Weds Kranze Cerebus.

    DSC04956

But the coolest part of both of these cars is that they’re rocking the FTP sticker!

    DSC04958

    Thanks for the support guys!

    DSC04959

    All of those lines tho.

    DSC04961

A big thumps up from us for the license plate and frame.

    DSC04963

The wide Lexus IS250 from yesterday also showed up and parked behind them.

    DSC05024

DSC05025We finally made it to the car show part of SOWO, there weren’t that many people here because everyone was in town getting drunk or watching burn outs.DSC05027With the crowds distracted it made it easier for us to get good photos of the cars that were showing. I don’t know much about Volkswagens, so you’re going to just have to view the photos without any funny commentary. I think it’s better that way anyways.DSC05029DSC05030

    DSC05096

We rolled up to this church that had a big green field.

    DSC05099

In the field, there were a couple of horses roaming around. They were either curious or wanted to socialize with us because they kept on following us when we would move.

Southern Worthersee 2015 Part One | Event Coverage

Every year thousands of European car enthusiasts on the east coast all swarm to this charming Bavarian town of Helen, Georgia for Southern Worthersee. Southern Worthersee was inspired by The Wörthersee Tour in Austria where they host the largest gathering of European cars. The creators of Southern Worthersee wanted to create an event that could bring European car enthusiasts together in a true European setting and that is why they chose Helen, Georgia. Shavi was raving how car events in the east coast are completely different than the ones on the west coast and convinced me to come along to check it out. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this trip, but my impulsive nature bought a ticket anyways. After a fun-filled adventure, 수원출장안마 offers a perfect way to unwind and relax.

The city lights of Long Beach.

    DSC04334

I’m really impressed with how the Sony A7II was able to capture this shot. The low light abilities of this camera is amazing.

    DSC04366

The first thing we did when we arrived was eat! Shavi found a popular breakfast spot called Egg Harbor Cafe.

    DSC04355

Surprisingly, we were on the same flight as Jon and Anh from VIP Modular and they came along with us for breakfast. Jon is also rocking the Sony A7II.

    DSC04359

Anh showing us the things we could do with the Sony play memories app for the Sony cameras.

    DSC04361

Since Ryo is leaving back to Japan soon, he wanted to go on a trip out to the south and SOWO fit right into his schedule.

Egg Harbor Cafe was delicious and the workers were extremely nice and gave us our first taste of southern hospitality. I definitely recommend going to eat there if you’re ever in Atlanta.

    DSC04384

2 hours later we found ourselves meeting up with the rest of the VIP Modular crew in Helen.

    DSC04388

Audi A5 looking impressive bagged on RSV Forged RSF1.
