RO in Japan | Yokohoma Bay

After the police kicked us out of the Daikoku PA, most of the cars from the meet moved over to this spot under Yokohoma Bay. It’s an underground area with sick ceilings and made for great photos. There seemed to be a higher quality of cars that showed up to this back up spot, probably because you had to pay for a spot and it also meant the cops couldn’t kick us out of this area.

A whole lot of slammed cars and people just walking around enjoying the scene.

Somehow got caught up talking to a bunch of Altezza enthusiasts. I saw that one of the guys was rocking a SXE10 crew sticker and told him that I was once apart of that when my friend Jason created it way back then. Now Jason isn’t even apart of it anymore and it’s grown to something far crazier. Weird how your past shows up in random places.

    jptrip 507

Widened Altezza all around on Work XSA is fucking nice. Flawlessly executed.

Sadly, my camera ran out of batteries from documenting the whole day, but it was good for me because I was finally able to just relax and realize that we just threw the first ever Royal Origin international meet. It couldn’t have been successful without the help of All That Low, Zee and Kevan. Maybe, next time we’re here we’ll be throwing a car show…

Time sure flies by, it’s already been a year since the first Auto Gallery show and here we are at their second show. It’s cool that their show has been a success and they were able to do a second show. Congrats Auto Gallery and hope there will be more shows in the future.

    Cars and Coffee 4/27/13

There’s only one reason to wake up before the sun comes up, and that is for Cars and Coffee Irvine.  What’s cool about Cars and Coffee is the consistency of it; every Saturday morning, there is a crowd in this parking lot and cool cars to check you. On top of that, the lighting is awesome in the morning to take photos.

    001

    Sick BRZ on some TE37s.

    002

When going to Cars and Coffee, expect a lot of old school cars that you’ve never even heard of.

    004

    Or even knew existed.

    007

The owners of these cars keep them immaculate.

    008

and then there are the owners with some ballerass cars.

    011

One of my favorites that morning…looks like a car out of an old mafia movie.

    009

    The paint was pristine.

    013

    014

    One is not the same…

    016

Going back to the future. All of these cars bring a history of nostalgia.

    015

    Expensive headlights.

    018

Would love to hear them all turn on at the same time and race down Jamboree.

    019

I would look like that too, waking up this early.

    021

    So cool!

    OMW. #throwback

The last weekend of March, usually involving the 31st, is a weekend I look forward to every year. Besides it being my birthday weekend, it also usually is the weekend when the whole gang takes a trip out to Las Vegas. This year, we decided to do it big and throw a meet at a dealership. With the help of Chivas and Findlay Fiat, we were able to throw a legit meet for all our fans. We met up early in the morning to caravan because we had a huge amount of cars this year rolling with us to Vegas. I was a stickler on time this year because I didn’t want to take the whole day to get there like the previous years.

    IMG_8433

Nimo, leading the way to Vegas.

    IMG_8546

Random guy rolling with us to Vegas.

    IMG_8451

Randy Goco, getting some rolling shots.

    IMG_8829-2

This car goes everywhere. DGAF life.

    IMG_8481

Check out the racing stripes on the front part of the side skirt.

    IMG_8819

Nimo was able to hit 150 mph on the way to Vegas. Vertex aerodynamics and being slammed helped a little.

    IMG_8816

Spotted this rat rod, also on the way to Las Vegas. That weekend was also the annual Rockabilly weekend with classic cars, rat rods, and hot pin-up girls.

    IMG_8811

Ashton, the newest member of the crew. He was jumped in before we left to Vegas.

    IMG_8790

Double rolling shot, what does it mean?

    IMG_8740

Jeff always looks like he’s napping when he drives long distances.

    IMG_8688

Jerald also made the trek out to Vegas with us.

    IMG_8678

Gautam’s loudass M5, surprisingly, didn’t get us pulled over.

    IMG_8646

Tucker, riding aired up to the fucking max. His compressor went out on the way, so he couldn’t air down.

    IMG_8636

Driving to Vegas is nothing to Keith now. He’s gone back and forth almost weekly.

    IMG_8588

Adam, riding dumped even when on bags.

    IMG_8839

Amazingly, we got to Vegas in only 3 hours with 30+ people and 15 cars. Neel, with his new set of Work Rezaxs.

    IMG_8867

The last time Ashton was in Vegas with us, he had an IS300.

    IMG_8866

    IMG_8863

John, running on Filipino time, finally caught up with us.

    IMG_8859

Ryan’s murdered out GTI. Looks real cool.

    IMG_8858

First time seeing Rocky’s bagged look. He’s working on getting the front’s lower and then he’ll be satisfied.

    IMG_8855

    Famous Accords.

    IMG_8847

    White is right.

    IMG_8845

Once you go black, you come back in a wheelchair.

    IMG_8842

    Yoshi’s race car.

    IMG_8841

    BMW x Subaru sandwich.

    IMG_8870

    Where the fuck is WEI?

    IMG_8871

    IMG_8873

    IS brothers.

    IMG_8872

Ted Olsen met us up at our hotel to caravan to Gerald’s house.

    IMG_8875

Causing traffic, breaking necks, and making hella wrecks.

    IMG_8885

It’s been a long time since I saw the rootbeerdc2. Quenched my thirst for sure.

    IMG_8900

    Jerald posted.

    IMG_8897

    IMG_8896

    IMG_8893

    The detail master.

    IMG_8888

    Rootbeer VIP looking swell.

    IMG_8887

    Keyser’s clean MR2 on Work XD9’s.

    IMG_8911

Went with Chivas early to Findlay Fiat to get some last minute preparations in.

    IMG_8903

    Sunkist.

    IMG_8913

The sun is kissing the engine bay.

    IMG_8905

Nimo did a suicide trip and was leaving for home right after the meet.

    IMG_8907

The Abarth, a pretty quick car. One of the salesmen did a burnout in it when he moved it.

    IMG_8916

This is all you’re getting for now. Check back for the meet coverage!

  • Parking Lot Pimpin’ John Tran’s Integra

Parking Lot Pimpin’ John Tran’s Integra

Honestly, I didn’t really care for John’s Integra when he had his XXR’s. It looked slammed and cool but it really didn’t do anything for me. One day I saw him roll up to Big Vinh’s house and it was like seeing a totally different car. He had just acquired some CCWs LM5’s and his car totally blew me away. Apparently, he only bought the XXRs to calculate his fitment for these wheels since he would be getting a custom set made. The other night, Yoshi planned to shoot his car, but being the BOSS John was, he came late and the shoot turned into a hangout in front of IKEA.

So aggressive looking, even from a far.

JDM front end with canards. Yummy.

People might say this car is confusing, hella flush fitment with a track outed body kit and wings. Well John would say, “fuck you” and continue on with his greasy burrito. I like how he mods his car the way he wants because the last time I checked, it was his money he used to buy these parts not anyone else’s.

John says he want to tuck more rim. I told him the car looks good as is, but you never know what John is going to do next.

John didn’t get a wing for performance purposes. It’s actually for when you’re eating in the parking lot and there’s no place to set your food on. John has a table for everyone to place their drinks and food. What a good friend.

    That fitment…

    A butt shot of Yoshi’s E36.

John’s car makes Kentaro’s E46 look stock. Watch out for this thing in the future, it’s going to have a little bit more horse power to back up that confused track look.

    Auto Gallery 2012

Time is something I have very little of nowadays, so I’m sorry I haven’t been providing any content lately. I have photos of a little photo shoot we did after Auto Gallery, Hella Flush 11, and the G35 meet/More Japan Sale, so be sure to check the site regularly! Now onto Auto Gallery, this show was pulled off successfully by Team Praxis.  You don’t know how hard it is to pull an event near the beach. It costs tons of money and a ton of paperwork from the city. Food trucks aren’t even allowed to be within a mile of the beach, but  somehow Team Praxis got them in. The show gave a beach party type of vibe, with music blazing and bikini models walking around like in the music video for the song Starships by Nicki Minaj.
